Glen is that designer that even if you cannot wear (as it’s my case, I’m not that cool) he’s always SO inspiring, because he challenges you to look and think twice. Excellent analysis!

I have to agree on so many levels! when i first saw Glenn M’s YProject i was mesmerized and it honestly reminded me of Margiela. Glenn’s reinterpretation of the Ugg Boots, the massive thigh high boots juxtaposed with the skinny heel ( Rihanna’s fave) , the tromp l’oeil sensibility of shirts and sweater merged with nonchalant wearability is soooo Margiela’s code! Demna and Glenn has redefined the 2015- 2016 fashion era. I love this video so much.

I know this will sound odd because it doesn't have anything to do with the video but since discovering your channel I've been drawn to a certain curiosity in this "new era of fashion". I think especially today, fashion has changed in a way that all those "logo designer shirts" and traditional brands : like Chanel, Burberry or Gucci are being overshadowed by this new wave of brand and designers that speak to today's audience and are starting a new conversation in the world of fashion. I'm still trying to keep up but I would love your take on today's designer items that someone who's trying to elevate their style can actually consider buying. I try to think of a valuable purchase and all I see is the same pair of Gucci loafers worn by EVERYONE 🙃.And from one gal to another It would be very interesting and helpful to get an insight on that area ⭐️😗. Again thanks for a new video 🌈✨...looking forward to see the next one 😉

I guess we also need to thank the pandemic, since there werent any usual big runway shows all designers were kind of competing with each other on the same level. nothing makes me happier. But i wouldnt say we don’t need no big houses and designers. but coming to your idea of making all these work in our maybe daily life sounds good. i guess i will try to create something for this need! ty 👼🏻

Tuba, curious to get your thoughts on popular brand collaborations particularly the upcoming new season of lemaire x uniqlo collection?
@tubaavalon3 жыл бұрын
I liked the previous Lemaire X Uniqlo collections a lot. They were actuslly the best so far. JW, Jil Sander and others kind of dissapointed me. And in general i also think Uniqlo still makes the best selection in terms of designers. Not even thinking about H&M rn. So def. approved! Also the Lemaire pieces have a way better quality than the usual Uniqlo ones 💖
@simonceder13083 жыл бұрын
@@tubaavalon I got the Lemaire X Uniqlo cardigan last weekend, love it! I am a huge JW Anderson fan but did not like any of the stuff he did for Uniqlo. Oh, actually I also love Jil Sander and got a nice shirt from the J+ Uniqlo.

I feel like Glenn Martens' design is too loud for me. I definitely like loud pieces, but more in terms of graphics or materials, like what Issey Miyake does. But Glenn Marten's design is loud in a different way. I mean I appreciate his design but I could probably never wear it.

@dessaye11173 жыл бұрын
If we want to talk about a new Margiela, we have to think about a designer which is really revolutionary, who’s ahead of his time and who’s going to be replicated even 20+ years in the future. I think of someone like Iris Van Herpen.

I really like your videos, you have a fresh point of view on fashion, but this girl who constantly interrupts you is lowkey irritating, I don't know if it's only me, but I can't really focus on the topic of video when you are talking with her that often. Just an observation. I love your content and keep going and I also appreciate Glenn's work.
