Good vid - definitely do more short ones like this. I like your channel and content - up to the 20 minute ballpark. More than that, when you get to 50 minutes or 60 + minutes, you're competing for viewership choice between a KZbin vid, or some seriously higher production value item of the same length, like a Netflix or HBO episode or documentary or the such. I probably watched all your vids up to the 20 minute length ballpark. Haven't watched a single one of the long ones. The choice between spending an hour watching some guy commenting on KZbin vs, say, an episode of Squid Game or House of the Dragon, is an easy one.

@Paula-mv8im5 ай бұрын
In 2022, the Vikings had a 28th ranked run game and a 31st ranked defense and he led the team to a 13-4 season. If that's not putting the team on your back, I don't know what is. In 2023...the Vikings started out 0-3 because of the insane number of times that players dropped accurate passes, tipped the ball to other team, fumbled the ball, knocked the ball out Kirk’s hands (this same guard stepped on Kirk’s foot three times in 2022), didn’t block defenders, and committed stupid penalties. Kirk played lights out vs the 49ers and Green Bay (without Justin Jefferson) and got the team back in the playoff race. And if THAT’S not putting the team on your back….I don’t know what is.
@Giantsfanlewis5 ай бұрын
@Paula-mv8im the problem is what he did in the playoffs with that team. You can lead a bad team to many wins in the regular season, especially with an easy schedule. It takes an Elie qb to take a bad team and win a title with them. Like when eli manning won a title with the last ranked running game and defense.
@bryanjones44444 ай бұрын
@@Giantsfanlewis Couple of things, 1st the Giants did not have a last ranked defense. It was the worst defense to ever win a Super Bowl but not last ranked. Off the top of my head I don't think that the running game was last either because Eli never put together that kind of a season. The Giants were surely overachievers that season with lots of close wins and I believe a 10-6 record. 2nd Cousins played very well in that playoff game against the Giants. In fact he had the highest rated game by any quarterback in any game that postseason. 3rd If you compare Cousins to the average quarterback in the most comprehensive formula ever created to analyze a quarterbacks career you will find that he is the 19th greatest quarterback with at least 8 years in the league since 1947. His play has been about 54% better than the average quarterback during his time in the league. Eli has also been run through the extensive calculations and tests out at just over 5% above average.

So not dead last, but absolutely horrible. Especially in 2012 in terms of stats, that great. Tony Romo and dad Prescott have way better stats than eli as well. But just like cousins, they don't have those super bowl titles that eli does, and likely never will get one. So glad cousins is a great reg season qb. But he chokes when the playoffs ckme

If this guy was on the Cowboys for the last 5 years for example, I am pretty sure they wouldve reached the Superbowl at least once. He is something around the 8th-13th best QB in the league right now. Is that worth the money? Since you are a Kirk fan I will give you some fun facts you can share with those who doubt his ability just because the media has never liked him and underrates him all he time. There is a formula that compares a quarterback to the average quarterback of his era and then compares how far above average all the great quarterbacks are. It is called the "REAL GOAT" scoring system. It takes into consideration all the stats that are kept and no stone is left unturned. Kirk is the 18th best quarterback, to play at least 8 seasons, to start a career after 1947. He is on a pace to break the career record for 4th quarter comebacks even though his defense gave away a total of 10 in just 2020 and 2021. He has accomplished this with the worst offensive line in the league over the first 5 years in Minnesota. Remember that teams win games, not quarterbacks or any other player. Kirk cannot be faulted for his team not winning playoff games or making the playoffs. His average playoff game has been better than Tom Brady's average playoff game even though he was sacked 3 times as often as Tom.
@blakedean9045 ай бұрын

He didn’t play for half of the season and he was still 2nd in QB rating and 3rd in completion% after the season was done. 5:37 So Kirk was only playing well because he was in a contract year? Kirk has been on 1-2 year contracts for his whole career (except for the three year deal when he came to Minnesota). He’s always playing for his next contract. 7:02 … “Kirk is a con man”… riiiihgt … He gets guaranteed contracts (but the trade-off is that you’re also not the highest paid either) because of his performance and durability. Before this injury, he hadn’t missed a game due to injury in his 12 year career. He throws 4000+ yards and 30+ TDs every season like clockwork. Tell a Kirk naysayer that the Vikings finished 13-4 in 2022 despite utilizing the NFL’s third-worst defense per points allowed in 2022, and within minutes, they’ll tell you why he was to blame or how he didn’t do enough to drag the team to the Promised Land. These people simply choose to ignore the defense’s inefficiency for most of Kirk’s time in Minnesota. Remember all that sympathy from the media and fans afforded to Stafford in Detroit from 2009 to 2020? Poor guy never gets any help. Take that mindset - and flip it. That’s the Kirk Cousins’ experience.

Kirk being good but not spectacular is what has fueled his career.
@Paula-mv8im5 ай бұрын
That actually doesn't make sense. It's the opposite. Being spectacular is what has fueled his career. Kirk gets paid like he does because of his performance and durability. Before this injury, he hadn’t missed a game due to injury in his 12 year career. He throws 4000+ yards and 30+ TDs every season like clockwork. His career passer rating is 98.2. which is the 8th highest passer rating in NFL history…in NFL history. He’s 5th all-time in completion percentage. His passing yards per game also ranks 10th all-time in the history of the NFL. Say the Falcons had signed Garoppolo, who is a 2x Super Bowl winner, but can’t stay healthy and got benched for a rookie, they wouldn't have paid him that kind of money. It's a team sport, dude. Players are not paid based on wins BECAUSE it’s a team sport. Quarterbacks can only control what the offense does.

Finally someone who gets it. He was the first half MVP last season and nobody was close. But fumbles, drops and mediocre at best defense left them at 4-4. If Kirk had stayed healthy and the defense played the way they did in the second half of the season they may have won it all even with a bad o-line.

The Vikings big problem was they signed a statue QB while having an ass O-line. Case Keenum's most under-rated aspect was being mobile in the pocket, it made the O-line look way better
@Paula-mv8im5 ай бұрын
Kirk isn't a statue...he's got the same rushing yards and first downs that Rodgers has had the last few years. No one consider Rodgers a statue. The Vikings' problem is that they neglected the o-line for years.

Kirk is what the 49ers and Browns should've invested in to get over their humps. Better than good, not great - but can be clutch in the right moments.
@davidlundquist19795 ай бұрын
Deshaun Watson did used to be great. At football, that is, not as a human being. I'm sure the Browns were hoping he still would be, once he shook the rust off. Brock Purdy IS great. Is he surrounded by talented players? Sure, so was Tom Brady. But I'm pretty sure being the NFC champion qualifies as "getting over the hump". Yes, winning the Super Bowl would be nice, but when you're up against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, good luck.

@@jayclean5653 for starters he’s been in the league 12 years and he’s coming off an injury it’s safe to say his best years are behind him. 2 the eye test you can just look at cousins play and tell he’s average he doesn’t have a Big arm and he’s not fast.having at least one of those two skills separate elite qbs from avg he doesn’t have an elite skill he doesn’t have any weaknesses either.He’s always played balanced and doesn’t make many mistakes he’s not the worst starting QB,but he’s not the best either. He’s not better than DAK Prescott those two QBs are my standard of players from avg (cousins)to slightly above avg(Prescott)if you look at cousins QB ratings and numbers it’s all middle of the pack as well and I can think of ten QBs better but also ten QBs worse he’s as average as you can get a glorified game manager with ZERO PLAYOFF WINS

The NFC south is almost all ugly games for all teams involved. I didn't watch him in Minnesota much, but it does seem like he got better at taking risks. In Washington he used to be quite timid and play it too safe. He's going to need some clutch wins in Atlanta to keep Penix from taking his spot. Penix is an unknown factor being a rookie. So it makes sense that Atlanta wanted some stability, even if it's ceiling is just average.
