Tubolito Flix-Kit

I have been using the Tubolito tubes for almost a year now. I've had a couple of stems starting to leak, but this is fixable by supergluing them in place. Holes are a different matter however. The patches don't work reliable enough... Recently I've had 2 that started to leak due to warmer temperatures. On one occasion, I was waiting at a train level crossing in a hot sun, and a patch started to leak due to the heat making the glue go soft... Basically, once you have a hole in the tube it's game over. Still like them though because of the weight. Luckily the price has come down a bit.

I've heard this from another user which is why I'm not going to spend $35 or so dollars for a tube only to have to throw it away because of a single flat. I would rather use latex if I want a low weight low rolling resistance tube, and latex is less than half the cost.

This looks much better than the Revoloop's TPU patch kit, which is pretty much just an air mattress patch kit with tiny patches that are extremely hard to get off the backing.

Do you guys make larger patches? Sliced my front tube pretty good and the normal patches just barely cover it and only hold air for twenty minutes

I got my first flat on my sixth ride with Tubolitos. I put a patch on and after another seven rides the tire flatted. The cause was the patch started to leak. Others commenting here have had the same issue. I'll still work with them for awhile, but my initial experience isn't a good start. I may move to tubeless sooner than later.

how much is the flix-Kit? 10times too? same like 3€ standart tube vs 30€ for tubolite tube!

"Basically, once you have a hole in the tube it's game over" . . . This is exactly the case. Nothing yet manufactured or discovered will provide a lasting repair on a punctured Tubolito tube. Give the repair a few weeks, or even a month or two, and the patch WILL fail.

False patches do not repair the hole. I've tried twenty times, the air keeps coming out!

Wait 30 minutes for patch to dry. You kidding me. If I’m commuting I can’t hang round for 30 minutes. So if I use tubilitos. I have to carry a normal inner tube so I don’t have to wait 30 minutes..

In a magazine I read that Tubolito replace the tube if punct. I think when I see the patches to fix the Tubolito, it is a fraud. I don't used Tubolito, but seing this and reading other comments of users, I will never use it. I will remain with my tubeless.
