Thank you Tsumerlee! I love this stitch and I needed to make a necklace with just 4 columns. But you are giving us more ideas about this beautiful technique. Love it!

I loved the face that you're a bit of a badass..I'm broke and was looking for something unique to make for my partners mom and sister...And now I've found it! You're the Julia Child of beaded work! :-)

@tsummerlee No no no that was a compliment! Plus your spiral herringbone is fantastic. And easy! Thank you and I hope you have a great Christmas.

Thanks! It really is easier to start off with something to give your work support. After you've beaded about an inch or so, removing the support and continuing to bead should be okay.

Very clear & easy to follow! Is it necessary to bead tubular herringbone around a cord? Or just easier? Do you ever just make a cord of just beads? Thanks!

@caughtnthestars Glad I could help. How I end depends on what I'm making. You can end by decreasing the stitch to a point, or you can end with pretty end caps (a common metal finding). You can probably make it an unending loop by connecting the two ends, too. The easiest way is probably to use end caps.

Someone had a necklace with what they said was herringbone. It looked like it was stacked like 4 beads sqaure, or maybe one row on top of the next. Could you please show us that if you know how to do it? Thank you have a wonderful day !

Hi I was wondering if you could please do a tutorial of how to beadweave a triangle with herringbone and peyote stitch. I have seen this using large beads but not delicas.. Help!! Thanks JoAnn McBrady

mmmm, I'm thinking... for this I'd start with 2 yards. You can use more, or less. If you use more, tangling might be a problem, and less means you'll have to tie more knots.

I forgot to ask, what length of thread do you use to start?
