I looking at a 30x36 with a carport tied in at 24x 36. The back of the carport would have an enclosed storage space of 24x12.

Great video. It's good to know that in this example, the wider building it ~51% more expensive (but you are getting 100 extra sqft). The 40' wide building is ~$26.53/sqft while the 30' building is only ~$18.74/sqft. These figures do not include concrete which I assume would be around $12/15k.

Does the same apply if it is 32x32? Would you recommend 30x34 instead?

That is correct. Engineering forces us to build 32 wide as a wide span truss design so 30x34 would be better price option :)
