You should be using a 37 degree flaring tool, because those fittings are AN. You won’t find that at your local auto parts. (the standard is 45 degree)
@kraftingkars3 жыл бұрын
Good point man! Luckily mine still sealed just fine, I'm guessing because the lines are so soft they conformed when I tightened them down!
@chaserivers40583 жыл бұрын
@@kraftingkars You’ll probably be fine, just passing along the info for the next guy.

I read this before I did this, and my f fitting is leaking on one of the connections.. I should’ve listened to you! Do you know where to get the 37 degree flaring tool without ordering it?

Hey question, you moved your proportioning valve now did that give you any issues with your clutch master cylinder fitting or did it clear with no problem sorry I’m new to your videos but I don’t think mine would clear being mounted there ?

Cleared no problem! You can see better pictures of my engine bay at afton.voigt.ej8 on Instagram

Hey man my local Oriellys has the flaring tool but I’m not sure what degree it is.. did you tell them specifically you wanted a 37 degree flaring tool? Or just use what they had. On chase bays they say to use a 37 degree tool. So jw. Cause I’m about to start on my chase bays kit as well parts are coming in tomorrow thanks man I hope you can get back to me ASAP as I’m stuck right here 😓

Just the regular o'reilly's brand flaring tool is what I used, I rented it over the counter. No leaks yet

Can you do a video on how to adjust/use the chasebays proportioning valve?
@kraftingkars Жыл бұрын
I couldn't find any good information online about it. On top of the knob it shows you which way to turn it to adjust your bias. I dialed it in by making my adjustment, going for a test drive with some hard braking, then going back and making adjustments until I liked how the car felt
@jomi1413 Жыл бұрын
If I wanted to just buy the fittings and and Bias valve and run custom hard line. If would work right? Are Those female fittings 3an that screw on to the T banjo?
@kraftingkars Жыл бұрын
Yessir, and yep they are 3an

How was the process on bleeding the brake system I bought this kit but I'm not sure how to go about bleeding the brake system
@kraftingkars Жыл бұрын
Bleeding the brakes is exactly the same as the factory procedure! Where you fill up your master cylinder, and bleed the fluid out using the bleeder screws on your calipers. Here is a good link for ya honda-tech.com/how-tos/a/honda-civic-how-to-bleed-your-braking-system-374619

Great video man, would this still work well with a rear disc swapped civic? Mine's a 97 LX I'm gonna be swapping out with integra disc brakes.
@kraftingkars2 жыл бұрын
Yep it should work! I'll be swapping to rear disks soon! I'll be sure to make a video on it. One thing people recommend after getting rear disks is to get a larger master cylinder out of an integra
@kraftingkars2 жыл бұрын
Dc2 integra that is, the best option is probably the type r master cylinder

How's the braking after the installation? I just got done doing poor mans 5 lug conversion. Would this work on my setup? Me Driving a 95 coupe. 1 inch MC/BB off a 99 teggy.

Braking is great! Keeps the 400whp under control! Check out the chase bays website, they should have a setup that will work for you!

Will this brake line only use a single flare or a double flare?
@kraftingkars3 жыл бұрын
All the flaring is only single flare
@drevil5546 Жыл бұрын
@@kraftingkars For automotive it should definitely be a double flare.

And can you also run that brake line kit with a brake booster delete
@kraftingkars3 жыл бұрын
If you go to the chase bays website, they have a drop down menu where you select your chassis, and master cylinder type! They have an option for every combination!

CB-H-9600OEMC is the SKU number of the product. This is for a 92-00 Civic with OEM master cylinder and no ABS! It is a real easy install, the other videos out there just suck at explaining I guess.
