The two of you have given us a glimpse backwards to the "civil" America I remember; we were never an America where everyone agreed on everything, but we were mostly civil in our discourse and we respected other opinions. It's also a misrepresentation of what Putin said - they are trying to dumb it down to 'it used to be ours, so we're taking it back', willfully ignoring the lead up to Russia finally making the decision to enter Ukraine that was explained to them in the interview (if they watched it). The short answer to the question 'why did you start war with Ukraine?' for those ignorant on the subject: The war didn't start in 2022, the US started it years ago. What happened in 2022 was the inevitable escalation of a war that has been ongoing for years.
