The fact that my favorite member of the UCL chose my favorite Pokémon means it had to be fate that I give my full support to the Tucson Terrakions. Use the Lucario well, Nappy! I'll be cheering for you! As for strategy, I'm not much of a W-Fi battler, but Lucario is VERY flexible. He gets a lot of different types of physical moves like Blaze Kick, Poison Jab, and EQ, among others, as well as very diverse special moves like Dragon Pulse, Psychic, and Shadow Ball. He's also got a ton of good fighting moves, and can rock with Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, so what you give him really depends on what you want to do with him, more so than most other mons. I like to go with Special Lucario not only to throw people off, but also because it's his highest stat (not much higher than attack, but that could make a difference). I go with Aura Sphere and Flash Cannon for STAB, and Nasty Plot if you can find a way to set up. The last move can be used for a few things, like Shadow Ball, Dragon Pulse, Psychic, Vacuum Wave, or Focus Blast, if you want to risk its accuracy. Or you could go with Substitute or Toxic or . You seem to have better mons for strategies like that, but just throwing it out there. I'm not gonna give advice for a physical Lucario because most people already know what they wanna do with that setup, much more than I do, but I hope I helped! If anyone in the comments sees any big problems with the strategy, please let me know! I'd like to know how to get better :)

A bit of advice for the Swellow: Running Flame Orb over Toxic Orb decreases the damage you take over time while achieving the same purpose. Both boost your stats the same since burn drop is negated with Guts, but you get normal burn damage instead of toxic damage.

Yo Nappy, a little tip for you- As of Gen 6, Gengar can learn Reflect Type through chain breeding. This might seem irrelevant, but it's a good way to avoid Sucker Punch and some of the slower Knock Offs. You Reflect Type, making Sucker Punch fail and/or making you a Dark type in time to sponge the Knock Off 4 times better than you normally would. Plus... Gengar gets Dark Pulse, so you can keep something with STAB around even after you've changed type. Dark and Ghost are similar attacking types, so you can run Focus Blast / Dazzling Gleam in that last slot to get perfect neutral coverage regardless of what type Gengar ends up being. As a long time member of the Nappy Nation, I have made it my personal goal this UCL season to provide the Tucson Terrakions with interesting and unique stategies like this one to use in their upcoming battles. Look forward to more surprises in the future!

I love that you picked up Cradily, it's one of the best NU walls around and it's got a very nice movepool to choose from, my personal favorite set for it is this: Item: Leftovers Nature: Bold or Calm (-Atk/ +Def or +SpD) Ability: Storm Drain EV's 252/HP - 108/Def - 40/SpA - 108/SpD -Stockpile -Recover -Sludge Bomb or Energy Ball -Ancient Power I like this set because if you get 2 or 3 stockpiles off, this pokemon becomes almost impossible to OHKO, and it also gives you reliable recovery with leftovers and and an immunity to water attacks with Storm Drain. Cradily is one of my favorite 3rd gen pokemon and I've used this set many times and I thinks it's the best way to run it

Don't forget that you can also use Flygon to get rid of hazards. Levitate and being part ground type makes it the best hazard remover out there (due to Defog). Especially since you really don't have any other ways to remove hazards besides maybe Swellow, who doesn't want to come in on rocks in the first place. Also, in regards to Flygon, if you wanted to run it specially offensive, it does get Boomburst as well from leveling up Vibrava. 140 BP is definitely not weak, even from a base 80 SpAtk. Plus it goes through Substitute, of course, which is always nice.

To everyone talking about toxic vs. Flame orb: (as far as I know) the toxic orb damage starts off lower, and only catches up on to the damage of flame at the third turn, meaning you can facade/bb/whatever twice and uturn (or hard swap) on the third turn before the damage kicks in, making you take less damage than flame orb, or you can turn on the fourth turn and take the same damage. I may be wrong, but I think that is how it works.

Tbh, flame orb is used if you plan to stay in for a long time and toxic orb is used when you plan to stay in for a short amount of time. Swellow typically runs toxic orb because of u-turn, but if you need it to stay in for longer, keep that in mind.

Hey Nappy Im glad u got Lucario. Hes awesome and my fav set for him is a special one. No one expects it, they always try to burn it. Give him: Aura Sphere Flash Cannon Vaccum Wave Nasty Plot. Its so good! Love this set, it has swept many times :D Also, u should try to get tyrantrum. Hey Nappy, I have a good set for flygon that drives people crazy, but if it is played right, you can crush people's team. I used this set against NiPPs in a wifi battle and I think I either 2-0 or 3-0 him. My flygon was the problem for his whole team. He couldn't stop it. Pokemon: Flygon Item: Choice Scarf Ability: levitate Nature: Adamant (people expect jolly because he's not the fastest, but you can fool them and hit them even harder!) 252 Speed/ 252 Attack/ 4 Def. (or Sp. Def, your choice) Moves: - Earthquake - Dragon Claw/ Outrage ( I like Dragon Claw because since he's not jolly, he might get out sped by something else if he's locked into Outrage) - Stone Edge - U-Turn I really hope this set helps you!

if you dont want to run a defensive weezing, i used to run an assault vest weezing in nu. It has 4 move syndrome with flamethrower, sludge bomb, thunderbolt, shadow ball, dark pulse, explosion, and the hidden powers, it will make it kinda hard to predict (unless the other coaches take note and remember this). Also if you can get a baton pass with a calm mind or 2 up from one of your other mons... Destruction

People sleep on Cradily, but I've swept many a team with it in NU. Specially defensive set with Stockpile, Toxic, Recover and Giga Drain takes lives. You could even take people by surprise with a Rock Polish + Weakness Policy Set, either physical with Seed Bomb and Rock Slide or Special with Giga and Ancient Power.

The best Flygon I've seen is the crit flygon. Focus energy combined with a crit increasing item like razor claw gives you 100% crit chance. It's a good sweeper as draco meteor's sp att drop doesn't hurt you if you always crit.

Toxic orb is better bc you take damage starting at like 5% and grows from there, just run uturn and switch out accordingly. Birn orb gives you like 12% damage every turn. they boosts are the same

Nappy,moxie Adamant krookodile with knock off holding black glasses is GOD STATUS. You can also instead give it life orb if you dont have much stab on there and Stealth rock is always an option Mega Gardevior with hyper beam is a great idea and I never actually thought about that but it could work late game but when you think about using it remember the turn to recharge and actually think if it's wise to use it. Gengar can life orb,choice scarf,choice specs depending on your opponents team and how you want to use it. With t-bolt for coverage and that powerful stab sludge bomb,you will hit hard. And one more thing, it's obvious but always keep on mind before the match "what is the typing that will help me the best against this team". If you can switch free agents you should replace swello with tauros (just as fast as gengar, base 100 attack, has sheer force). Its a good scarfer and band or life orb

i was so surprised no one drafted zangoose, yes its a little slow at base 90 but it still has potential to out speed a lot of mons and it hits like a truck, i dont really play tiers but even if i do play an OU team zangoose always puts in the work, i was hoping cuddle would have scooped it up bc under webs nothing really stops it

Alternatively put a Scarf on Krookodile and run the Moxie-Scarf set. Get a chain going and its gg. Theres also the Intimidate-Scarf lead which is great for scaring things out and for surprise kills on things like Talonflame.

Dude @TheKingNappy you should try running sticky hold Rocky Helmet on Gastrodon. I completely nullifies knock off when coupled with Lucario. And you would have constant damage to physical attackers
