Tudor Caravan Park Review | Our First Camping Trip | Vango Casa Tent

Join us on our first camping experience at Tudor Caravan Park in Slimbridge.
We had rain, wind, early morning wake up calls by birds, air beds that didn't stay up and great fun.
The Tudor Caravan park just outside Slimbridge Wetlands centre and the Tudor Arms pub seemed like the ideal place to try our Vango Casa Lux Tent out for the first time.
The Site is situated about 2 minutes drive from Slimbridge WWT and about 20 minutes drive from Gloucester (which we found to be quite useful when it rained as they had a cinema that kept the kids occupied.
As it was our first time camping we didn't know what to expect, but even after nearly 3 hours of trying to pitch the tent, that is advertised as being pitch able in 20 minutes! See our vlog listed below.
We still ended up loving it..

The Slimbridge WWT is definitely worth a visit and you can see what to expect on our vlogs listed below.
And Tudor caravan Park itself was lovely, very clean, great big pitches, that easily accommodated our tent that was 7m x 5m. Facilities were all spotless with plenty of water, toilets and showers and it has the added benefit of the lovely Tudor Arms pub at the entrance (which does serve good food).
Would we go back there again - A big yes..

Such great fun! Thanks for sharing your camping trip and your spacious tent! The tents from the UK are quite unique and have made me fall in love with camping. I've got 2 and love them both! It took me a few tries of putting up the tent to get the time down to the advertised 'pitch time', but with some practice, I've got the time down to about 10-15 minutes for each. Happy camping!

@@TheHadwinsTV I've not yet made a video of pitching the tent, but thats a good idea! For the fist couple tries pitching the tent, I followed a video from Attwoolls KZbin channel. Mike from Attwoolls does really thorough tent reviews as well as 'pitching and packing' videos in real time. I have the Outdoor-Revolution Airdale 5.0s, but here's a good example of Mike pitching the Outdoor Revolution Airdale 6.0s tent: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGXZmJeoZ95qg6c I also have the Outwell Rosedale 4PA which is nearly half the size of the Outdoor Revolution Airdale, so it goes up even quicker. shoelaces are great for hanging lamps ..love your vids mate..i used go camping with my dog all over northumberland until my dog passed away a couple of years ago . keep em coming👍.

We use an electric light - just a cable with a simple bulb attached and attach it to the poles with cable ties (we have an oz tent), we do have camping lanterns as well and I find the more hooks and caribbiners you can get your hands on the better.

Get yourselves some self inflating mats of at least 10cm. They are more comfortable and far warmer than airbeds. Then take a duvet with teddy bear bedding. Super toasty and cracking nights sleep…oh and ear plugs.
