Whilst uploading this I watched the "after TUF bonus footage" stream they put out, literally all of the bonus footage they didn't show until after was better than the footage that was actually in the episode. They showed more awkward McGregor Chandler moments and showed McGregor having some cool moments. But all we got on the show, was fighters crying, adverts, boring back stories and a 10 second fight.

Everyone now days is so aware of the camera. Even when they're talking amongst themselves, you can tell they're thinking of the best thing to monologue for the camera to pick up. No real conversations between the cast, everyone is just waiting for their turn to talk for the cam. These hometown documentary parts take up half the show as well. It's depressing. WHY?? Why do they not go back to the fly-on-the-wall approach and let us see what happens in the fishtank house? Seeing the ups and downs of being cooped up was fun. Seeing the dynamics change was fun. Seeing people going from being friendly, to annoyed and paranoid of each other made the first seasons entertaining. I just got done watching the Bisping season for the first time. Those guys could eat up 20 min just sitting around on a couch bantering. It was at least interesting and you got a feeling of each personality by seeing them interact. Compare that with modern TUF. Every time the fighters of Modern Day TUF sit around a couch or dinner table, they each just turn for the camera and go around taking turns saying A.) what they're sad about, or B) Corny fake inspirational crap... Everyone is like a politician advertising their "brand", talking to the camera instead of each other. Either talking about their kids and how much they love them (when in reality you know they don't spend any waking moment with the kid lol), or how this is the end of the road for them, their last shot before they decide to end it once and for all. SAD!

A bit harsh guru. Agree with your spoilers point and the ads. But ultimately it was a stock standard tuf episode. There was minor excitement with the team selection/format, otherwise not too much else. One of the reasons I like tuf is getting to know fighters and their background, it seems like you don’t really care about that which would make the content boring. Think of just seeing a fighter in a cage vs knowing all the struggles they have been through and maybe connecting with that if you can relate. E.g. Chito Vera’s daughter needing surgery

So basically TUF is even worse than it was prior. Fake drama, crying, bad fights and Conor nowhere to be seen as with Faber, i doubt he will have 1 hour of total screen time for whole season.

It's actually a good opportunity for the contestants to just start talking trash to whatever, because ppl are gonna be tuning in for Mcgregory. And if they garner enough eyes, they'll get signed in the UFC whether they win or lose 😂😂😂

The Ultimate Fat. There's some bass banging noise in some of this video, a High Pass Filter on your voice would fix it, around 80Hz should do it. Or just release the female imprisoned in a box in the corner.

I really don’t like the veteran coming back thing and never have. Fighters can always improve but if you are loosing 4 fights in a row at rank 30 guys. Their absolute greatest future is to barely come in the top 15 witch In reality most likely won’t happened. I can’t believe it’s that hard for a global company that has connection with all big MMA gyms all over the world to find some real up coming talented guys I just can’t.

TUF isnt for fight fans, not really. Its a reality show targeted to a different demo that can then potentially buy PPVs. Ive said tbis before, bc it happens in every sport once their reach gets big enough - there will come a day when the UFC is not tailored to current fans. They will leverage the loyalty they have by trying things out to net a larger audience. This is why the biggest game in American football is for absolute normies, not football fans. The UFC will become PC at some point and the fighters will be wearing pink hair bands for breast cancer, etc. Its just how this goes. The diehards are going to tune in to watch fights regardless, but the UFC cant get more money from these people, theyve exhausted that group, they need more buyers, as businesses tend to set goals for new heights constantly. Enjoy it now while it lasts bc your girlfriend in 10 years is going to know the roster as well as you, and if you think that sounds cool, trust me its not. Youll look back fondly to when you got to enjoy something that was just for you and now its not special anymore.

The torrent on the site I use has a 629/411 dl/seed ratio. That's a lot of people watching it (illegally). I forgot about the episode until I saw this vid. I'm dling it now so I'll skip this video for the moment. I was impressed by its torrent numbers, tho. edit: literally downloaded in under 30 seconds

The last two seasons of TUF we're so boring. Low viewership as well, this is what happens when a show has no writer and director to actually have a story going on. It's just one long timefiller with sad backstories, 5 minutes of coaching kinda acting like they have beef but not really and a few sprinkled shots of hitting pads before the fight happens.
