At 11:18, hold your jug flat to get a steady stream of oil by letting the air escape through the top of the opening.

Hey buddy I've got a quick question, if I am just checking to make sure that my transmission is not fried, what fluid should I add to it and can I just add 10W-30 to existing fluid
@MowerMike2 ай бұрын
I would put in something heavier than that. Yes need to keep it topped off

Nice job with video Mike. I’ve got a x320 so this series is really useful. How often do you change transmission oil. Thanks
@MowerMike5 ай бұрын
Honestly if it is running fine I wouldn’t mess with changing it. Removing the transmission is a bear of a job. Unless you really want to do it. My next video will go into more detail. That x320 is one sweet ride. Wait until you see what I do with mine

I can't find the T58 fill plug on Amazon. Is it called something else?

No idea.

Does the X380 have a K 58?...20w50 ? I thought the JD fluid was 5w30?
@MowerMike5 ай бұрын
I am not sure. And yes they came with 5w30. I just use the Amsoil 20w50 cause it always worked great for me.

You said you were going to show the drain plug but you never did. You were going to show how much was actually left in the axle after you pumped the fluid out but you never did, is it a significant amount? Why now pump as much fluid out as you can and top it off with new fluid, run it for about 5 minutes and pump it out again and top it off again and bingo, almost as good as new. If not well at least 60% better than what you started with.

I support you in your fluid changing endeavors. Pump away young man!

@@MowerMike Syphoned about one quart and put new in and everything is good. Didn't have to bleed the system because I never removed all the fluid. Running great and the weird bearing noise you hear when going up hill is gone. I'll run the mower for about 15 more minutes and remove another quart and the transaxle fluid should be at 75% brand new and good for another 150 hours.
