So many comments about the price and people saying $15,000 is a rip off, yet thry arent the ones buying the piece. I 100% cannot afford a rug this expensive(yet) and dont know if i ever will want one. But the bottomline is that the customer paid and was happy so clearly the cost wasnt "too much" to him/her. Also the quality of the products and the attention to detail( wether its a solid color or intricate design) is part of the cost. CRAFTMANSHIP isnt cheap! If this is not something you want or can afford, thats fine. But there is no need to hate or say someone is "scamming" people when its clear the buyers are happy! Thays what matters *** for the ones specifically saying tgey could buy this same rug for $100, good luck. I mean you are right that you can buy a rug for $100 but you are also getting the cheapest material made full of chemicals and put together by a worker who is paid next to nothing and cares nothing about the end result or the product they are making. So if you have zero concerns and just want something "fast amd cheap", Temu is waiting for your order.

It is a rip off, because 15k could be a 3-month salary even a 4-month salary for a lot of people and there is no way, that much time and craftsmanship was required in producing this thing. There is labor involved, some material and machines, but only someone who has never crafted anything with his own hands would believe this price is justified. If you paid a woodworker 15k, he would produce the most exquisite furniture for you, this rug is just a rug in some kind of grey color. Search for "tufting" on KZbin and take a look at what people create as a hobby. This is not a skill that requires years of learning. They said in the video that this was one week of labor. No way the skill is worth that much. There are two factors that may contribute to the steeper price and that is a) the cost of the material - virgin wool is a higher quality material than acrylic yarn and b) Switzerland is incredibly expensive. You earn way more and probably pay at least twice more compared to whatever you pay in other European countries.

@@Editnamehere Our customers prefer quality and Swiss craftsmanship. I don't know where you can get a rug like this for $100, but I can't imagine one without poor working conditions and poor quality or sustainability behind it. But it seems that you support that industry. I can't understand it, but I have to accept it. All people have their own opinion and that is correct. Thank you for your input.

Of course it's big but it looks like a usual and not special rug with a not even a beautiful color pattern. You know, you get such things in every well sorted hardware store? Maybe not in such a size, yes. Sure, I believe this was hard work.

Some people can’t understand why a designer cloth cost 200+ dollars and simple factory made cloth costs 10$. Imagine doing a work at takes much precision, time and cost and some “smart guy” says it should cost 100$. Honestly $15000 cost is still high for me but value of products are different in every country and i say if it’s selling sell it.

They also don’t understand a thing about the economy in Switzerland. Everyone there is paid a fair wage compared to the USA and such. Plus they have strict trade laws for their goods. They need to be made to a specific higher quality.
