Great job! I love your work! When you're carving with white, do you ever have issues with tiny fibers of the other colors getting stuck in the white? How would you fix that? 🤔
@jasonjacobs2095Ай бұрын
do you adjust the carpet shearing clipper? like you are cutting the white nike area shorter than the red heart area? or its all one same height?

I'm in construction, but you make this look so easy I want to make my own rugs! I'm sure it's about 10x as hard as it looks, so I'll stick to watching videos.

When it comes to your frame? Do you know the size of it?! That looks like a better size I need to get than this massive gram I built😂😂😂

One of the best videos out of 20-30 I watched explaining tehcnical stuff. What I don't know is: Can I change the needle size so that it matched the fabric "holes" spacing? Or use different fabric that is not specifically made for tufting? Can I adjust the size where the scissor cuts the yarn...So I can make the rug ticker or tinner?

Man. Tufting seems like a huge shortcut technique once you know about the traditional rug-making techniques. The cartoon design, then every single freaking knot.

Bro. People like you are what restore my faith in humanity. THANK YOU!!!!! I spent so long listening to other goobers on here that dont explain the technicalities, methods, and reasoning behind the technicalities and your methods... thats the only way I learn. I really think people learn better when you give them a REASON why they should follow said advice, and what happens when you don't. You're my kind of dude! Im subscribing, i wish you the absolute best man, and again, thank you!

@@dwrugshow do you get it so full on the other side with such big gaps between each run of yarn? I'm using two strings per run and If I did gaps as wide as yours you would be able to see through the whole rug from the good side lol what am I doing wrong? I'm having to use lots of skeins

Did you ever price your rugs like $30-$50 more than normal and when people ask and are turned off by the price you give them some negotiation room and ultimately come back down to your normal price?
@dwrugs5 ай бұрын
Yes, I have. There is always room for negotiation. Art & value are subjective, that is the beautiful thing about art.

I have watched a load of tufting videos and it has only just occurred to me that the machine doesn't have a walking foot like you'd get on a sewing machine that would give equal spacing.

I would ask for a deposit up front. If you can get a full deposit, all the better.
@dwrugs5 ай бұрын
I agree. In hindsight I should have done this since the beginning. Luckily I've never been skipped out on payment, but there have been delays. I asked for payment after at first because I liked people to see what they were paying for first, but once you build up a rep you can start accepting prior.
