Hi thanks for the comment! With the double gear mod the torque to the wheels is immense! I was trying to figure out why the tank eventually won and I reckon it could be due to the rubber studs getting warmer due to friction and giving it more grip? The Batteries were still good though, freshly charged 2400 mah which last for hours :) If the 42099 weighed more it would be hard to beat but against some of my MOCs weighing twice as much it’s a tough ask. It’s a great model though 😀

You should tie two wires to either side of the vehicles to keep them straight, in the last match the scooper lost because it was pulled on a diagonal, if it stayed straight it might’ve won. The other crawler had an advantage since it was being pulled by the sides and not just by the middle.

The rebodied Outlaw runs so well with smaller, skinnier tyres, yet looks weedy.... but goes faster, turns better, does everything better. Except doesn't look as cool. I tried fat rear and skinny front, but the skinnies grip over powers the rears and even the gyro can't catch it! What to do eh? apart from do a video......... 👍🍺

Get a video up! It Reminds me of my car project! I have a 350z project track car(owned for 10 years and it’s going out in style..) it’s completely gutted out, light weight parts etc and then come the tyres... I changed from the beefy wide tyres and put skinnier and smaller diameter in! Saved 30lbs of rotational mass and some drag and the difference is night and day according to the vbox! So me personally would go for what works best! I guess it’s gripping better due to have more weight per square inch
@carlbModels3 жыл бұрын
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I like the 350 engine, nice sound to it. Had one in a Murano. When I put steel wheels on a Mondeo it improved performance a lot, narrowed, smaller, just had more grip better ride, little more body roll so I hear you! My skinny wheels are actually heavy but the width and the compound is probably the key. Argh, I don't like the look on the back with skinnies. Might unlock the rear differential and keep the fats on the back. So many combinations. Cheers for the reply, I'll ponder it for a while.
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the 350 engine is lovely and smooth and now the car weighs 1250 kg it goes pretty well too! Most new cars are over tyred partly due to looks and they’re far more playful with a little less grip on the rear! Sounds like you’re in a right conundrum over it lol!
