What I'm wondering is, can the motors be linked at long range. Because I have chinese motors that are double the power of Lego motors. So I only use 2 motors per Input Receiver Module, as the Lego standard, otherwise it might overload the Input Receiver Module. I'm guessing you boost your motors by having multiple Input Reciever Modules all on the same channel, linked to different battery boxes. But this would cause severe issues at long range, when there is signal loss and the modules get "desynced". I am guessing the motors are "worm-drive motors" which destroy the worm gear when you try to rotate a motor out of sync.

Thanks for the videos! It would be really, really nice if we can see how your builds are made. I mean, a bunch of pics if the internals would do, just enough to recreate these. I think that would go a long way towards the goal in the channel's About section, i.e. "I hope some of the models inspire others to build and create themselves".

Man, listen to that torque. How many motors is that? And what's the gearing? 60 lbs is a ton of weight for that scale of vehicle. Make four of them and then mount them to a piece of plywood, see if it can carry you. Oh, and if you don't care to use other tires on those wheels for a while, you could superglue them to the wheels to prevent the wheel spinning inside the tire.

I am skeptical that a plastic Lego piece can withstand that speed, specifically the last drive wheels.
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines14 күн бұрын
Hey there a lot of oil was used and you make a good point about the cogs. Luckily the plastic is soft and not brittle like other pieces. The big 40 tooth gear which was spinning at 20000 rpm actually expanded slightly and after a few runs didn’t run smoothly :)
@vanguard906713 күн бұрын
@ I can accept 10k or even 20k, but 100k rpm is almost as fast as devices engineered to spin at very high speeds like a Dyson vacuum or some car turbo chargers.

@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines Oh. That sucks. I have my own lego technic set (LR Defender) though, and I also, sort of, pushing it to its limits. Here is a little list of dead parts: 8 tooth gear: Stripped teeth 12 tooth gear: Missing 2 teeth (overload) 24 tooth gear: Literally snapped in half Differential: Erased by bevel gear 15 stud liftarm: Accident step 5x7 frame: Trying to disassemble "undisassembleable frame" (two stud axles and 3 stud axle connector) 6 stud axle: Got stuck in the axle connector and soon broke off Axle connector: debris of 6 stud axle stuck in Bush: Has black circle because of rubbing against 7x11 frame at high speed (~7k rpm) 5x9 L-liftarm: Got axle spots broken off Lotsa pins: Accident step Tire: Lost

With the gearing the torque wasn’t very high so it managed luckily. When you put motors in that configuration it’s amazing how much force pushes out on them. You have to brace it so it doesn’t push apart :)
