So many artists out there don’t have the skill set you have or the critical eye for detail or impression. I feel like the world is missing out on your talent because while these videos are beautiful and entertaining, I don’t feel like they are the perfect forum for your skill level. Seconded-- try it! Working with other media will improve your graphite work. Plus, you can always do a halfway thing where you do an underlayer in gouache, then go back in with a pencil and clean up. I'm a little biased because I love gouache, but the principle holds true for me too (I've actually been trying to use more graphite the past couple years so I can push myself). Keep up the good work :)

you are the first painter that i have watched in my life. i was captivated by the way you brought a plain and lifeless drawing to life, using a brush which you held and used as if it was a light and smooth pencil, creating seemingly effortlessly. your skills are breathless, and when you flipped through the book at the start i was shocked for i truly believed they were pictures at first glance. i too wish to become a painter, and i wish that one day i'll be able to add in the same subtle details as you can and think ahead and steady your hand patiently, not just in painting, but in every other thing that i love and am passionate about. i loved this video :)

i am learning so much from your videos about how to use gouache. what i always find difficult is layering light colours against dark colours. the light colours always come out way darker then im expecting or just dont cover enough over the dark colour. i am learning so much about this from you in seeing you layer plants and how you start the drawing. thanks a lot!

Some paints have less covering ability. In such cases, apply two coats without disturbing your painting.

I love how soothing and relaxing your videos are!! This may sound strange but have you ever considered making a longer mostly unedited video? (unless I missed one you did) I love working on my own art while watching your videos and it would give us more time to paint together in one video! Or maybe a giant compilation of a bunch of different art piece videos? I can tell composition and smooth transitions are so important to you for video quality so maybe it'd be hard with how much we all move around lol, I just thought it would be a nice idea! Maybe even unlisted and accessible via link if you didn't want it to "ruin" your page aesthetic with an unedited video!! Anyway, keep doing you! We love your work, so talented!
