Oh my gosh, these are just so darn wonderful! I want to make the doll's head, though I've got so many quilting projects at this time. It does inspire me to make a pincushion out of a cloth doll my Danish grandmother brought back to me from a trip to Denmark in the 1950's. Somehow she lost her bottom half of her body. Or the Ginny doll heads from the 1960's whose bodies disintegrated from 'plastic disease' last year. We shall see. Thank you for sharing all of this with us!

What a great idea to save the doll from your Grandmother! Also, please look at the comments on this facebook post, where someone shared photos of the one she made using Barbie doll parts, much like your Ginny idea: facebook.com/tulipsquarepatterns/posts/pfbid02QDuDGrJqYhRJRvsTFJtb9fAa1xmnMBSes9d7Z32eMQ3UurGjK3kBe66TNz7ubYCpl

Hi. Did you cover up the underside of the base? I couldn’t find how and what you used. Piece of cardboard? Also a felting needle would help pack in the stuffing and make a sold base for the needles. Absolutely the cutest idea! You’re very creative. Thank you.

Hi! Thank you so much! The underside just has a circle of wool felt glued on. The felting needle is a great idea, thanks for sharing! 🌷

I kinda liked the hand crocheted shawl.... Too bad it ended up back in the closet. Oh well. Still a great project!
