How to Play Kain in Dungeons & Dragons (Soul Reaver Build for D&D 5e)

Today we have a build for Kain from the Legacy of Kain series in Dungeons & Dragons. This brings the power of Soul Reaver into D&D 5e.

The original Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen was my favorite game ever, back in the day. I got a demo on a demo-disc that came with a magazine, played it to *death,* to the point where I can *still* quote the opening lines verbatim, decades later. Eventually got the full game, and played THAT to death. None of the sequels ever recaptured that magic for me, not even when they finally put Kain himself back in the driver's seat with Blood Omen 2... maybe no surprise, seeing as only the first game was produced by the original devs at Silicon Knight - not that they exactly covered themselves in glory *after* that point, I suppose! "I woke to the pain of a new existence, in a dank room of darkness and decay..."

Honestly Kain would be a fantastic villain or rival NPC for the party to play against. He definitely has the speeches for it. Raziel: Shall I show you the same mercy you showed the rest of the Circle, then? You blithely murdered them to restore their Pillars, yet your hand faltered when it came to the final sacrifice. What makes you exempt, Kain? You're merely the last man standing. Why condemn me for simply carrying out what you hadn't the courage to do yourself? Kain: Let's drop the moral posturing, shall we? We both know there's no altruism in this pursuit. Your reckless indignation led you here - I counted on it. There's no shame in it, Raziel - revenge is motivation enough. At least it's honest. Hate me, but do it honestly.

Also one of the best if not the best, and in my opinion, actually is the best vampire game ever made. Vampire is the masquerade is okay. But it's so open world that it is hard to really go through the story line in my opinion.

Completing the duo of protagonists of this series is a great milestone! Surely Sir Tulok will celebrate it with a Tangle the lemur build soon(tm). But in the meantime fighting fate itself should be entertaining Born as an aristocrat who got in the struggle of balance forcefully when his death and resurrection as a vampire lead him to a path of vengeance, one where is ambitious self will see him challenge the agents of fate and the incarnation of it's previous mistakes to hopefully reach its place as scion of balance to restore the land of Nosgoth. With the soul Reaver in hand you can face many challenges, oddly many of them sharing your own voice...

VAE VICTIS!!!!! Coincindally my character that i play is called Kain, cause i'm a LoK fan since day 1 when i firs played Blood Omen. Even tho its NOT a 1:1 character. He's a Mix of Kain, and Guts and he's a Dark Knight (Vengeance paladin/Hexblade) Tiefling.

A Dhampir Sorlock named Kain who's got the 2 most edgiest subclasses for Warlock and Sorcerer. This game probably came out in the 90's when people thought being real edgy was super cool, and they're right, Kain seems pretty cool.
