@@dach829 Not at all. Jedi do not have anything in common with sorcerers, mechanically speaking. They don't even cast spells by default (that requires a feat.) It's more likely that A) Lore wise Jedi are most closely linked to Paladins and B) Their secondary role as diplomats and peacemakers make Charisma as their key stat more lore friendly. Wisdom also plays a role in the use of the force. Charisma determines general potency but Wis determines how many force powers they know.

@@dindapriska Well, if you aren't familiar with the Deck of Many Things, as it is written it basically warps reality. I can kill characters, steal souls, force people to act or change in entirely unpredictable manners, to say nothing of what it can do to places and existing power structures. And the thing is, this is all at random. Adding a Deck of Many Things to a D&D game is basically playing Russian Roulette with your campaign.

@@josephperez2004 well we have the Deck of Many Things in my campaign and its just been more of a distraction than a campaign buster. i actually managed to steal it so we can hide it away from others. yes we drew cards, no our DM just ruled out some of the cards.. and he said F**k you im the DM, wich we all (had to) agree. let your players have fun. its not all about ''i killed 20 goblins, i get this amount of XP, i am good, youre evil f**k you'' nah.. our DM tracks our XP, but we have no idea when or how close we are to lvling, yet this is by far the best campaign ive ever play,he gave us acess to pretty strong gear, he just made the encounters harder, but at least were having fun.

This build’s high AC and bonuses on saving throws works perfectly into Obiwan’s lore as the best defensive duelist in the entirety of Star Wars despite not taking defensive duelist instead of telekinetic for mage hand that you get later.

My DM let me have one after our minor boss vampire used a spell that turned damage from my piercing arrows & sword into stuff that attacked us, rendering me helpless the whole fight. Finesse, 5 foot reach, works as a flashlight, works especially well against the undead...Rogue Sneak Attack + Sunblade is a *beautiful* thing! Harder to sneak up on people, but my rogue is a con artist more than a thief, anyway. And I totally dominated on that dragon!

I'm pretty sure you GM would let you use a scimitar that deal 1d8 slashing damage rather than 1d6 for the flavor as piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage are basically interchangeable as if an enemy resists one then they likely resist the other two as well

Most DMs seem pretty lenient with non-magical weapons as long as it's just dice or property conversion. I got mine to let me use a cane as a weapon (Simple Weapon, 1d6 Bludgeoning, Finesse).

This is a *very* powerful build. I'm not filling out the full math, but... Your final build will have a stat array of STR 8, DEX 20, CON 14, INT 20, WIS 13, and CHA 12. Your max AC is 25, as explained in the video, you have a max speed of 40 feet per round with Longstrider, and your Counterspell can cancel a ninth level spell with a minimum roll of 15. Your 150 HP is deceptive, as Second Wind provides you a maximum of 25 HP recovery. You have a +10 to Initiative, meaning your Initiative ranges from 11-30. Lastly, your max hit (not counting crits) with your lightsaber is 42, and max lightsaber damage per round is *222*. As a comparison, a tarrasque's max damage per round is 226, with a base AC of 25. That's right, Obi-Wan can just about match a *tarrasque* for damage and AC, with the drawbacks being that the damage can only happen once per day and the AC requires casting. Still, though. That's *damn* good.

I appreciate the love for Bladesinger! If we're trying to make a Jedi without UA, that's exactly what I'd use. You still get access to the full Wizard spell list, but you also get an ability called 'Bladesong' that works kinda like a Barbarian's rage, giving you a temporary power boost. It also boosts your AC through the roof, pretty much nothing will hit you without a crit.

For lightsabers try a sun blade. It’s a magic item (pg 205 of the DMs guide.) it’s a long sword whose blade is made of sunlight that you can turn on and off. +2 to rolls and does radiant damage (and extra to undead.) it casts bright light for 15 feet and dim for another 15. It’s an excuse to have a lightsaber in a fantasy world

a very powerful build that i have in mind is boogie from open season lol. a barbarian bear with main skill focus for athletics and intimidation for race, class and background. a 18 for strength, 18 for dex, and 18 for constitution. for the five score boost or 5 feats. use tough twice. being double tough will help save the party on multiple occasions, and an extra 80 hp from the con mod. only high power beings can fight him. use a score boost for strength, and use all skill boosts for athletics and intimidation

I'd love to see your build on The Doctor from Doctor Who. I got a couple of ideas on how to make that work: he's a Time Lord with an incredibly long lifespan, but he looks human. Could possibly be a half elf or even Aasimar for race. As for classes, I could totally see him as a Bard with some Artificer thrown in and maybe even a dip in Cleric.

As is stated in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Bladesinger's Elf prereq is a Forgotten Fealm's campaign setting specific restriction. It is not a solid rules restriction on the class at all. You can make non-Elf Bladesingers

I had actually made a level 15 character earlier today with him being a High Elf Fighter-10 (Eldritch Knight), Artificer-3 (Artillerist), Wizard-2 (Bladesinger) which looks promising, but I really like the Obi-Wan build and will probably tweak my character a bit. Once you get past the Star Wars group here I would love to see one done for Pai Mei from "Kill Bill," Executioners from Shaolin, Clan of the White Lotus and others. In the old movies he had impenetrable armor or he simply floated away from a punch. Knows every type of KungFu at the highest possible degree. He can do Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique and the Three Inch Punch. And apparently pluck out someone's eyeball.

a jedi's primary defensive tactic is to pick up their monk weapon and deflect missiles with it. this is what kensei are made for. how many jedi have you seen bouncing a blaster bolt back into the attacker? that's when they spend a ki point.
