Born and raised here. I cant help but giggle when I see people from out of state stopping to see the Tulsa driller. 😂 Skiatook lake isn't a bad drive to tulsa either. Should have walked down and around at Natural Falls. Thats where they filmed "Where the Red Fern Grows."

I’m impressed with all the places you go and are willing to go to all the attractions and share with us. Thank you so very much for all your efforts. We are retired and are going to try and sight see as much as you do. We are in our seventies (me ) and sixties ( wife) and have some limitations but we’re not complaining. Being that I live in Oklahoma, and am 95 miles northeast of Tulsa on Grand Lake, a tidbit of information about Tulsa. Tulsa sits on Historic Route 66 that runs from Chicago to Santa Monica. In nearby Commerce is the boyhood home of Yankee Great, Mickey Mantle, north of Miami. Next time you run through northeast Oklahoma, try Grand Lake. We have ample camping sites on the lake.

@@shebamaree9026 I noticed you came down US-177 to the Cimarron Turnpike out of Kansas. A good route out of Wichita to Tulsa is US-400 to US-75 just south of Neodesha. There is Ralph Mitchel Zoo in Independence just off Oak Street. Its free and open to the public. I went to high school in Independence Kansas.
