Yes I went on welfare for about a month then got off really quick luckily. I left it so quickly I never cashed the two checks that I got from them after about 4 months without an income. I had already went back to work and my daughter moved back in with her mother. Luckily I did not cash the checks about a year later they accused me of welfare fraud and wanted to throw me in prison then I showed them the two uncashed checks. They ended up apologizing to me after almost causing me to lose my new job. Single men with children better watch out they'll squeezes ya try to release ya into the prison. It just seems the welfare hates Men with a passion. When they let me go they said oh by the way those two checks are yours you can cash them right away. That was 37 years ago. I never did cash the checks still have them.
