I’ll take a bone stock no options whatsoever regular 4x4 crew max. I’ll throw the rims and tires away immediately, throw out the suspension, front bumper, rear bumper, and throw on king shocks, long travel uca lca, warn style front and rear bumper with winch in front, raceline beadlocks with 35” bfg km3s, arb lockers in front and rear, regear both front and rear and dual battery in front with led bars in front and rear. And it’ll probably still be cheaper than a “limited” model and outrun that truck all day.

I owned a 2008 SR5 Tundra for over 9 years. I bought the 2018 1794 edition for all the extra perks such as western interior, blinkers on the side mirrors, TRD exhaust, the rear window power open is a underrated feature on an decent day, open the sunroof, drop the door windows, drop the rear window, turn up the jams and watch the keepers go nuts they can’t do it. Love it. Best part is it’s a really nice way to ride. As far as being a “real truck” I beat the snot out of it as I did the 08, it just smiles and delivers. Need 5000lbs of landscape brick, put it in the back, no problem.

Bought a Limited Crewmax 4x4 today in Cavalry Blue. I kept wanting to like the 1794, but the interior has that peanut butter color, kind of like old Jeeps from the 80's used to have. Before signing I went to test drive a nicely appointed Ford F-150 Lariat. The Lariat was $68,000! No way. As ridiculous as truck prices have become, Toyota still comes in way below any competitors. Toyota will bring their Tundra update in 2021, too long to wait for me, but in the meantime I will enjoy an almost 25% MSRP savings.

Both have things I like and don’t like. I like the color keyed front bumper and adjustable thigh support on the 1794, but I’m not a fan of those wheels. The limited has much nicer wheels, and I would like the darker seats over the 1794’s brown seats. Either way though- it’s a Toyota- you can’t lose.

I don’t see why people are saying these trucks are outdated. They offer the same technology as other trucks, just in higher packages. They are the most reliable truck out there. All other the American trucks are over priced to me. The gas mileage on my Tundra is great. It’s how you drive it. It’s a truck not a Prius. I bet all the other truck manufacturers lie about there fuel economy.

It’s amazing truck but Toyota needs to update the engine because it is terrible with gas mileages. Also, the front bumper needs to match the back and not like that the front Chrome and the back colored. Otherwise the truck amazing and it will last forever. I have a 14 Limited. Wish I would have gotten the 1794 for the ac seats, but JBL system isn't much of an upgrade. I upgraded my sound system for much less than the JBL package and it blows it away. 191k miles and only changed the battery and front brakes. Looks and drives like the day I bought it. Also, no rattles or squeaks. It is an excellent truck and pulls my 10k boat every bit as well as my Cummins did.

In the market for a new Tundra. I hesitate because of a few key features for my daily driver: proximity keyless entry and push button start. I love everything else and my Tundra was the best pickup I’ve ever had comparing Chevrolet Z71 and Ford F-350 SRW FX4. I rue the day I traded it off! Someone got a cream puff. I’m considering a Tundra TRD Pro right now, just thinking I’ll regret the two aforementioned features. I want cooled seats too! Wish I could order it the way I want it!

I went with a 2018 1794 version. I didn’t even hesitate...lol. I like the wheels on the 2018 1794 Edition over the 2019 one. The interior is amazing on the 1794 trim. The other trims’ interiors are just plain and boring. What really irritates me is the wasted space below the back seats. I loved having storage space there in my last truck, which was a Ford F-150. On the Tundras, the floorboard rises up to meet the seat and totally wastes the good storage space. Makes it hard to hide stuff. Also, the center console doesn’t lock. It’s nice that it’s huge, but you have to buy a tray to make any real use out of it other than a pit for storage....or stick a safe in it. So you can’t hide stuff under the back seats AND you can’t lock the center console. I just don’t understand how that was overlooked...

You gotta request it to Toyota bro. They mentioned that they wont add it because it's not in demand. Make a petition or something. Haven't seen anyone do it yet. As the happy original owner of a 2002 SR5 4x4 Tundra that I 4x'd all over the NW, west and SW with, I've been looking for a new one; it's time. So today I finalized my choice to the Limited TRD Crewmax 4x4 and brought it home in 'superwhite' this afternoon. The Platinum and 1794 were diminishing returns for me, a lot more money for stuff that I never needed before and can do without. At the Limited level, I'm already getting stuff that didn't exist for my truck in 2002 (BT, USB, radar, cameras...) and I don't know how much of that I am actually going to use. The brown interior of the 1794 is fugly IMO, I'd rather have black. Yea, I'm kinda rip-van-winkle, after almost 17 years in my old Tundra, I have a truck with 'apps' and can pair my phone with it. But I miss the cassette player... ;-)

No matter where I go or what I see online, why is it that nearly every dealership keeps their vehicles on an empty tank well pretty close to it? Lol

Mark Delgado Hi Mark! Great question! It’s not the dealerships it’s the manufacturers. Toyota sends us their cars with around 6 gallons of fuel. We make sure everyone who buys a Toyota from us gets a full tank of gas :) I’m not sure how other manufacturers do it. Jeff

I feel it’s because if they ever did send a full tank of gas, and say it sits for even just a few months before being sold, the brand of fuel and octane rating can make it get all clumpy and turn to water inside the truck leading to more problems with a full tank, and if someone ever did steal a truck, they’d have to stop and get gas fairly soon making them easier to find

Sadly they still have not put a light inside the glovebox, nor any illumination for the mirror controls at night. This all pertains to the 1794. Also you need to inform the people that on the 1794, because it is capable of using FlexFuel, you must change oil every 5,000.0 miles. Not every 10,000.0 miles like other Tundra’s.

The 4 adjustable tie down cleats are rated at 220 lbs each. This is off the book. Do some do the 250?

The 5’5” bed is a deal killer for me. A full size truck that can’t even haul a fishing pole doesn’t make sense.
