Hey rob. Just finished my install. Looks great thanks! I had mine plasti-dipped to an almost exact color to my MGM tundra before this mod. I wanted to be "legit" with real color matched factory parts. That said, I like the look, but cannot recommend for the price. I paid nearly $600 with shipping and discount. I don't know what I was expecting, but these are cheap flimsy caps with an expensive paint job. Rear fit is better than the front. I too got a tiny slither of chrome showing, and thats after taking your advice!! Also, the air pockets when when you push down in certain areas are not re assuring. Like I said looks great, but I would recommend a good solid plasti-dip before this mod. Maybe for $250, but not $600. Hey thanks again for the tips!

I believe that the fender clip nut used on the rear cap should go over the top of the chrome bumper so you actually use the bumper to support the cap. Otherwise you are only supporting the cap with the thin fender nut and not the thicker bumper.

They have replacement caps available with the sensor holes. I used them on my Crewmax. The install is more complicated though. I got the parts from Sparksparts.com and had my dealer do the install. Hey Rob, Do you think it's possible to drill the holes for the sensors. It looks like it wouldn't be too difficult, the end caps look like a durable thin plastic. It doesn't seem worth the extra $125 bucks for the paintable end caps (PKTUNFR) and the process to remove the chrome end caps.

Hi Rob, if you have time I was wondering if you could answer a few questions. Before I do this I was wondering how they are holding up 27 months later? I saw the re-taping video, if I do this should I add a some extra 3M double sided tape for good measure? I’ve always been a OEM guy but videos like this really make me want to dive into a chrome delete on my white SR5.

While I had the truck they were fine; no issues. No need to add tape unless you see an issue (more isn’t always better). Much better look without the chrome IMO👍

Najaf Agha I have the same BFG K02s on my tundra and I offroad it pretty hard. They are a great tire but if you are going remote I would at least buy them in the E load rating for more capability of weight and durability. Also make sure you have a plug kit and air. These tires are pretty tough to puncture though. They do fine on long highway trips as well with no issue. Run them at 50psi on highway and about 26-30psi offroad depending on your weight/terrain.

Najaf Agha tires will be just fine for that. As far as air goes, depends on your usage. I prefer on board air so I can use it to also power tools in case of repair, but if the motor goes boom on the compressor which can happen then you are SOL. If you are just airing up, then C02 tank is perfect, just keep an eye on the level of the tank so you don’t run out before refill. You can get a decent number of air ups out of a big bottle. TrailRecon has a video on this very subject that is very in depth and informative.

Rob quick question does the front ones cover the entire chrome ?? Like all the way around the entire piece including the edge that goes underneath the cover?

It covers the chrome in that you can’t see it. It tapers down to the edges. If you were to crawl underneath and look up I’d imagine you could see a slight edge.

That huge chrome grill is just awful. Especially with my blacked out TSS package. Why would Toyota do that? Either black out everything, or don't do it at all!! Hopefully I can recoup a few dollars by selling 2019 honeycomb grill...

Thanks Matt. Depends on the depth of the dent. However, you could just use thicker dbl sided tape in the dented area to take up the space👍
