Thank you for the support man! This engine rebuild will be just another opportunity to learn (expensive way to learn).

@@totheextreme I hear ya! I’ve had my fair share of expensive learning opportunities lol

What happened to the engine? What's the update on it? V8 or v6?
@totheextreme3 ай бұрын
We are going to take out the engine and do a rebuild sometime this fall or winter. Likely rod knock or a spun rod bearing, but we will do a video on the whole process, so stay tuned for more tundra content!! We may also put some forged pistons and rods while we are in the engine, depending on price, so that a TRD Supercharger can reliably be put on without fear of just blowing the engine again.

What’s the year and mileage on the beauty now?

It’s a 2001 with around 232k miles on it as of now

How did you mount the fog lights on there? Looks sick 🤙
@totheextreme9 ай бұрын
The stock fog lights left existing mounting holes in the bumper, so I attached the light bar pods to the existing holes and got wiring harness for them to work with my light bar. I did a video on the light bar pods called "LED Light Bar Pods in Bumper for 00-03 Toyota Tundra" a while back if you wanna see how I did it.

Why do you think the engine blew up? And are you going to rebuild with all stock stuff or maybe put some goodies in there?
@totheextreme Жыл бұрын
Going down a steep hill while engine braking maybe caused a oil starvation in one of the cylinders, but won’t know till I get into the engine. In terms of the rebuild I may put some goodies in there cause I want to supercharge it one day!
@ethanblack6852 Жыл бұрын
@@totheextremeI would at least put forged connecting rods in there if you are thinking about any boost I have an 02 AC tundra myself and I’m thinking about hopping up a junkyard engine then boosting it
@totheextreme Жыл бұрын
@@ethanblack6852 Yeah I was just looking at those and they are not to terribly expensive. Might have to get them.
