Dear Laura (via MFTS) - I love the projects you've shared. I think the item you are referring to (bars of color) is referred to as a "test pattern." Yes, I remember Mork & Mindy. My favorite line : "Fly, BE FREE" Mork yells to the egg and throws it up as if it were a bird. That was when the US first started to see Williams' genius. Your cards are terrific. aaahhh...the memories....needing to walk to the TV to change the channel knob that made that thunky sound...the sandy screens...the angling of the antennae for better reception. Those were the days.

I just ordered this set after watching your video- I'm in the UK and had to search a bit but found 1 person that carries it. Very excited- I have a plan for cards next year with individually styled tvs and screens for each person.

So much fun! I wonder if the Mork & Mindy vibes are from Mork's colorful shirt kind of matching your zig zags? I love the idea of switching scenes! Definitely need to go from The Shining to Lady and the Tramp! 😬(P.S. I will say that unless you like movies that mess with your mind, you don't need to see The Shining.) Alberto is amazing! I don't know how many hours he put into learning Copic coloring and mastering it, but he hits it out of the ballpark every single time he picks up his Copics. Your scene is adorable! I love that you did your coloring quickly and that you had fun with it! Thanks so much for sharing the cuteness! I always love seeing what you create! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Love this! I wish I had one of those old TVs. I'm a sucker for anything retro! 💜 Back in the day, you knew it was time for bed when the screen would show the color blocks, and they'd play the National Anthem! Those were the days.

I need to get this! Love it! Yeah I see where you're getting Mork & Mindy vibes! The old style tv with a red, yellow and blue stripe like the colors in Mork's shirt and the rainbow suspenders. The Shining still scares me and I haven't seen it in years. I love the vintagey tv you did. Did you parents have that big, wooden tv? Mine did- almost lost an ear on that thing. My sister and I got in a fight and she kicked me backwards. I fell so that the corner of the tv sliced/ripped most of my ear off. Was hanging by some cartilage and skin- no lie. The worst insult about that? The er doc gave me a lollipop for being brave while my ear was getting stitched back to my head, and he GAVE ONE TO MY SISTER TOO!! I was beyond outraged!
