Ah yes, the ol' rabbit hole. Hey, if you can't fix the deck, maybe make a racer out of it, if not a fun yard bomb. Cool vid , man. Thought for sure that blade adapter was gonna break into several pieces like the one on mine did. Hope you can find the parts to fix it. Always cool to repair and save old stuff.

Thanks for the comment! I am considering turning it into a 4x4 tractor…. Maybe one day when I have some spare time!!! I was worried about breaking my puller, but I never even considered that the blade adapter would break… In hindsight I can totally see how that could have snapped! Glad you enjoyed the vid!

I see you're considering a 4x4 build with this little unit. That would be extremely cool but also a huge project. If you wanted to just make it fun for cheap, you could find a geared transmission and pulley swap it and maybe weld the diff. They become surprisingly capable off-roaders, especially if you put ATV tires on the rear.

Yeah you are right. I made a design to turn it into a 4x4 and parts alone would have been 1200$…. Not to mention all the time and in the end, not sure what I would do with it… I got the idea because I saw a pic of a 4x4 lawntractor with ATV front and rear tires and it really looked cool. Probably not going to happen though…

I just picked up a similar mower. Mine has some cut up wiring. Any chance you can take a video showing the wrong under the battery?

The hard start is fuel delivery. Some systems have a hard time getting the gas to pump to the carbs, and I mean from knew. Is it the fuel pump or its placement, or perhaps the fuel lines are creating a sort of p-trap? I don't know, just thinking out loud lol

Yeah, the briggs starts no problem, but man that kohler in the cub cadet struggles. I was thinking fuel also, but because it always ends up starting regardless I never make fixing it a priority… maybe one day!

Maybe you can find a snowblower attachment cheap Or use it with a yard trailer or trade it for a Olympic . Who knows.
