Looks like the polaris only suffered from the common cold blooded syndrome lol.. the secret to getting a polaris to be absolutely 💯 is getting the carburetors dialed in 1000%

It cows just like I remember them as well. Annoying. I was a kid and didn't really know how to fix that nor did I have the money. At about 3/4 throttle it would come out of the cow and go like a scalded dog.

10 years ago I thought late 80’s sleds were too young, now a 2000 is considered vintage!!!! In shows, pre-1980 is usually considered vintage. To me that makes sense. Oh well, it will all be “vintage” one day!

My first sled was a 1979 Kawasaki Invader 440 which was state of the art for the time and I’d say one of the best looking sleds ever designed. One of my best friends had a Chimo when we were like 10 years old and we took turns driving it around the yard. Great video.

Yes!!! I want to make a video on restoring one stock and I have another that is less complete that I will use snopro parts to make a “hybrid” 245 racer with! I have a repop 76 snopro hood and either a 1976 250rv engine OR early production 1976 444 LC prototype engine! (They used those engines in 76 SnoPro sleds!) Unfortunately I am super busy and not making as many videos as I would like… Thanks so much for your support and hopefully it won’t take 3 more years to get the rv videos made!!! Take care!

I have a FP40 Do you have any suggestions for getting a front wheel drum to break loose? Mine was sitting for a year from the previous owner and now the front right wheel is seized up. Everything works now.... just the front wheel is giving me a hard time.
@mattsws2 ай бұрын
I suppose I would try rocking it back and forth with the transmission and see if it breaks loose. If it only sat for 1 years, it shouldn’t be that seized…If that doesn’t work, jack it up and take the wheel off and try to get the drum off. There isn’t a lot of room, but with a long bar, you can get in behind to pry it off. If its seized bad, its a hard task… Good luck!
@willysmb75142 ай бұрын
I fixed it Took the wheel off, got a sledgehammer, and did a few love taps till the shoes popped off the drum. You will hear it when it does let go 😁 Now..... for my new U joints to show up 😬

It has spark and the tank looks good. I’ve been wanting a bubble nose forever so I’m pretty happy to get this one! I grew up with a Evinrude Norseman and a ‘74 t’nt. Interesting, I don’t see a lot of Evinrudes at your shows. I would love to come across another OMC opposed engine one day! Thanks again Matt! 🙂✌️
