The show’s writer decided to end it cause NBC was starting to interfere and insert things in the story that didn’t make sense. That’s why it was cancelled

@@elfell87 Agreed. The show’s writer was the problem. She was also the producer but she didn’t know how to produce a TV show. It was obvious to everyone at NBC that the Ivy-Karen story had the most resonance but she wanted the show to be about herself, which is why Julia was the main character. She was gone after the first season, and then the show got moved to worse time slots.
