Quite a different video style on this one Mike but obviously you know that as you made it haha Did you strap the camera to your leg for that shot at the start? or was it just held down low? You did a more accurate version of a quiet video than Dais haha not that there was anything wrong with Dais (just in case he reads this) but you didn't have music blaring out half way through lol. Do you ever get a wind free day on the Tors! Always seems windy or wet... reminds me of Wales. I really do like the idea of camping amongst the rocks like that though and using them, as a natural wind break and fire reflector. I genuinely like this style of video equally as I do the ones where you don't shut up to be honest so please do some more in the future but don't lose your sexy husky man voice completely !!

Enjoyed this video, Michael. I've noticed you never seem to bother with a windshield for your stove. Any particular reason for that? I got one of those little pump things for my Thermarest recently. Mine doesn't have a light though. Looked very spongy and wet. Are some of the Dartmoor mires actually dangerous or is that just a myth born of the Hound of the Baskervilles? I seem to remember reading somewhere that Raybarrow Pool is a place to avoid. I've only ever visited Dartmoor once. Many moons ago now. Got my Cranmere Pool letter box stamp! Watching your videos is making me contemplate a return visit someday. Would make a nice change to be able to camp without looking over my shoulder all the time. Take care.
@NoviceWildCamper3 жыл бұрын
I got a windshield for it but didn't work so am working on adapting it or changing all together. The pump is great. This is the new pro 2 version. So powerful. As well as being a light it will charge your electrics too. Dartmoor can be dangerous. There are some real deep bogs there but I generally keep to the paths and when I have gone off oath I've used my trekking poles or just been extremely careful with my footing and testing of the ground. I've seen people drop through up to their knees in it before and if you were alone with no emergency signal could be bad news. 🙏👍

@@NoviceWildCamper Thinking of ordering the pro 2 version of the pump. How do you find the battery life. What I mean is, if you charge your phone once does that drain it so it's no longer any good to inflate your mat. Would it be any good do you think as a multi task device if you were away for three nights?
@NoviceWildCamper3 жыл бұрын
I would have it as a back up. Only because I film all the time on my phone so need to charge twice (once during filming and then overnight) I have an anker powercore 20000mah pack which I can get at least 3 charges out of for my galaxy s20 ultra. I've only used this pump twice now and only once as a lamp. From that perspective its great as the evenings are dark from around 6.30 and I had it on till very late then again at half six in the morning for around an hour and half and was still going strong. I saw someone do a video of how many times he could pump his trekologoy ul80 which is a big pad and he did it 41 times before the battery ran out. I am going to get some use out of it in different scenarios including charging and then do a full review. I would happily use it for multi day use as a lamp and pump as it only took a few second to pump my pad up as you can see so you'd only do that two or three times and the rest for light 👍

Cheers buddy. This pump is the pro 2, the new version. Bigger battery than the tiny. I've seen it pump up 41 UL80 mats before dying. It will deflate as well you just use the other port.
