Please note that this carburetor was built with the fuel screw and idle screw on the same side for demonstration purposes. Most carburetors will have the idle screw and fuel screw on opposing sides.

What breather bracket works on this ? How does the air cleaner hook to it.

Can’t get my 78’ shovel to start without capping your hand over the intake. Runs fine afterwards but the bike will not start unless the air filter is off and your capping the intake of the carb. This is with the choke on or off

My carb looks identical on my 01 FXD, but there isn’t an idle screw, there’s a black plug? Not sure how to go about lowering my idle

Depending on when your carb was built the idle screw is on the opposite side.

What is stock setting on idle screw hd300. My idle screw is located on the opposite side?

It is about 2 1/4 turns out from seated +/- 1/4 turn. The fuel screw was just on that side for video purposes.

@@kylemayer4530 start at 1 1/4. May be a touch rich there, but a good point to start from.

I have a 1250 kit Andrews n4 cams 10 to 1 comp would this carb be better then my stock carb or better the the mukuni that everyone says is gold or the s&s it seems like those are the only carbs people put on there harley I want to have more options and info

I picked one up for my 1983 virago 920 which is designed like the old 883 Harley. I’m having the common slide sticking issue. I see that the newer slides have a cut out above the needle which one of your reps said that it doesn’t. Did Lectron do that to alleviate the sticking/vacuum issue?

Can I use my s&s stealth air cleaner on this carb

hi, the carbs come with an adapter flange that goes on the bell (front) of the carburetor that fits OEM 3 bolt air cleaner backing plates. So yes as long as the air cleaner is made to go on OEM itll fit our carb!
