Best thing you can do to your Buell XB is install a barometric sensor, and that Buell tooth WiFi thingy is not bad either. They also sell a stainless slip on but I kind of like that exhaust valve, and mid range torque.

Hi, great video. I have a check engine light problem when I get on the highway. I used my Buelltooth device to check the active faults and I'm getting two 13 codes one stating the rear cylinder is running rich and the other code stating O2 censor inactive. Is is possible the guy I purchased the bike from tampered with the settings and that's what's causing the CEL to illuminate? Is it possible to default the ECU using ECM spy? Could my bike really be running rich and my censor be inactive? Thanks so much for any advice.

I know this is a 7 month old post. But to me, O2 sensor inactive means O2 sensor inactive. Look at the thin black wire coming from the 02 plug and see if its burned or something. Its benhind the rear cylinder about an inch or two down the pipe, lift your seat, move the fiberglass cloth heat shield out of the way, and you can see the 02 sensor right there on the right inner frame rail positioned vertically on the rear cylinder exhaust pipe. It probably would'nt hurt to replace that single wire O2 sensor either way, and make sure the plug and wire is 100%. Because without it, your bike can't adjust fuel and air mixture.

Hi Ed, Thanks for the reply. I replaced my O2 sensor as well as replaced my intake gaskets and the check engine light still illuminates. I purchased the bike from a gentleman who absolutely didn't know what he was doing especially when it came to mapping the bike or making adjustments to the ECU. The bike came with a Buelltooth dongle and I think the ECU needs to be reset back to factory specs. I don't know how to reset it back to factory spec is the problem. Is a TPS reset the same as resetting the ECU back to default? Alex
