Hi Toni! I'm Gabby, I am 12 years old and I started to learn how to crochet a few months ago, and your tutorials have really helped me learn new stitches and ways to crochet! It's very easy to understand what to do when you teach, and I hope you can keep teaching others and spread the amazing art of crocheting😊😊💗
@curtriceennis29242 жыл бұрын
Hey Gabby, So glad to know you're beginning your crocheting at such an early age. I, myself, started when I was about five or six YO. I'm not a beginner, nor am I an expert. But, if you have any questions about it, I may be able to answer them for you. Then again, you may be able to teach me a thing or two, yourself, cause new stitches are constantly being brought to my attention even though I've been crocheting for about fifty years. 😉😻👍😻 Keep up the craft, even if you ever get discouraged ... as they say "Practice Makes Perfect." 😉 Happy Crocheting, Curtrice

One thing I've found is that, even though it's suggested you hold your working yarn a certain way, you can always develop your own personal way of holding it. I just hold mine between my thumb and index finger.

I think your tutorials are the very best - I have been a knitter for 60 years but want to learn to crochet. I searched the web and watched a lot of teachers before I found you. Not only do you have a wonderful voice that is easy to listen to but you speak slowly enough for me to follow and your instruction pairs exactly with your video. I am really impressed. Thank you so much.

Hello, thank you for your video. I am an older woman and I like to challenge myself. Your videos are much more informative with precise instructions. I have started out with needles from Amazon. The needles without the extension is steel and way too heavy to use, so I had to switch over with the extensions even though I didn’t need the length. They were much easier as they are bamboo to use. I have purchased a good set Addi with all the bells and whistles. Just waiting for them to arrive. I will try to sell the other ones to someone that wants to learn something new and can handle the heavier needle. Thanks for the lessons. Jane

Toni, thank you for all these beautiful tutorials in Tunisian crochet. Your work and skills are inspiring to watch, and your calm, clear explanations are so easy (and soothing!) to watch. I don’t even have a Tunisian crochet hook yet, but I love these videos and want to follow along with them.

Hi Toni A friend of mine told me about Tunisian crochet and you clip was my selection to learn. I love this and am now waiting for my crochet hooks for this to arrive. It's a little difficult on the hooks I have. I am taking it that your hook sizes are UK sizing. Thank you from Nana who is learning something new at 73 years old. Leonie D😊

I typically mention sizes in MM, so there shouldn't be any variation in the size you use vs what I use. Happy stitching, Nana!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am new to this technique although I have knit & crochet for 40 years so very dependent on the stitch info provided in a pattern. Pattern I had in Special Stitches repeated the Return Pass instructions under the Tunisian Simple Stitch 2 together, sigh. There was an angel on my shoulder when I went looking for the "real" directions for the TSS2tog as the first one I came to was yours. I have searched out many videos on stitches for knit and crochet sts over the years but this video was beautifully presented. I so enjoyed this video as it was just so very easy to follow along and understand what was going on every step of the way. I will certainly be coming back to you when I need any further information. Thank you for being such an excellent teacher!!!

It has been exciting to feel my confidence building with Tunisian crochet throughout this sampler project. Thank you for these amazing tutorials Toni. I feel like this one looks so similar to the Smock Stitch, but I love the way the bars twist together on this one. It just looks a little more polished.

Hi Toni, I'm a Toni too. 😊 Very pretty stitch, easy to remember and a well-done video tutorial. However, I wish you had included the bind-off row in it. I'm sure I will figure it out, but being fairly new to Tunisian crochet, I always have to look up again how the standard bind-off is done, and then adapt it to whatever stitch I'm using if the bind-off method isn't given. We don't want that whole row of loose raised Tunisian stitches left on the top of our work! Maybe something you might want to consider including in future Tunisian video tutorials.

Hello Toni! I am learning so much from you. Your tutorials are the best I have ever seen. You are incredible. I have a question, does everything cast of the same way with a insert hook into the front bar YO pull up a loop and into a slip stitch like the Simple Stitch? I feel the answer is yes, but wanted to double check with the Tunisian Master (that is what I am calling you) I have crocheted for 32 years and just found the Tunisian Stitch. I am absolutely in love with every single one I have done so far. I have watched several of your tutorials and am making purses with several of the stitches. So far I have learned the Simple Stitch, Full Stitch, Box Stitch, Weave Stitch, Lattice Stitch, Mesh Stitch, and Purl Stitch. Bamboo, Honeycomb, Knit and Mitered Square stitches are next on my list to learn. I cannot thank you enough for your channel.

I just adore ALL of your KZbin videos! I go to your channel when I need to find my happy place. I really want to love Tunisian crochet. I made a wash cloth with this stitch and it looks beautiful. But I don’t get the same joy in the process as I do when I am doing “regular” crochet. Do you think it’s a matter of more practice or trying a different type of Tunisian crochet hook? I’m currently using a long metal one. Do you think bamboo with interchangeable cables would feel better in my hand? Thanks so much and keep on making more videos!

Hi Toni, I've finally built up the nerve to try Tunisian crochet. I am an accomplished traditional crocheter and even design many of my own patterns for sweaters and stuff. This is the first time I am attempting this Lattice stitch and have high Hope's, your instructions are so easy to follow. I do have a question. Do you have instructions or a pattern I can purchase on how to convert this flat sample into a cardigan sweater? Finished neckline and front ribbing, front pieces and sleeves.
