Mikey after subscribing to the crochet crowd and seeing all the great projects I am so excited and frankly don't know what I want to try first because up until a week ago most crochet projects scared me and seemed so intimidating until I found you Mikey. Your such a wonderful instructor, and you are so very gifted. I feel like heaven sent me Mikey. You are my hero!

Hi, Mikey ... thanks to your clear, detailed, step-by-step instructions, I was able to get started right away and I've never had to take a look back at your video for help. Understanding the concept of the pattern is the secret and you've managed to paint a perfect picture. Thanks so much!

Yeah, so I tried following a couple different videos for this. (Popped up first when searched and also sent to me from someone else.) I should have known to just skip the rest and go straight to The Crochet Crowd to get a chance to actually learn it! :) Bravo as usual. Thanks for 'keepin' it real' and making new stitches/patterns easier to follow.

Thanks for this! I’m making one now, it’s looking fab. I did a bit of practise with some scrap yarn first as I wanted to use DK yarn and a smaller hook (5.5mm). Of course, a 5x5 square was too small so I did 10x10 (starting with a chain of 12 to account for the edges of each square). That’s given me a 2 inch square. I also found that pulling through two all the way across, (rather than pulling through the first one then two until the end) gives a much neater join to the surrounding squares.

Hey Mikey, I LOVE YOU!!! You are so patient with us and showing the stitches, patterns, and ideas. What border would you suggest to uncurl a entrelac blanket?
@crazycowemma6 жыл бұрын
After you’ve done the half squares to square off the blanket, perhaps do a round of double crochet (that’s treble crochet in the UK) in the same colour as the half squares and then pick a contrasting colour and do a round or two in that? Don’t forget to add an extra stitch or two in each corner when you are edging the blanket or it will pull the edges in.

Hi Mikey, I am a long time crocheter, taught by my wonderful grandmother at age 5! However, I'm literally just starting to learn Tunisian. I want to start with an Enterlac Afghan using TSS in the round. I've watched your video on this several times however, I'm so anxious to see your tutorial with the larger sections done with Transitional yarn in blue / purple type colors. At the end of the video I've watched, u refer to that piece and there is a picture displayed. U state that u will be teaching it on another tutorial soon. I'm wondering when, as I'm dying to see and learn that beauty! Thank U for your excellent instructional technique! Dianne
@jennmichelle709 жыл бұрын
I just want to get these thoughts out while I watch this for the thousandth time. If you're using one color, it seems that you still need to bind off, snip the yarn and start again a new corner, because this is not a true "round". Also, Mikey says it doesn't matter what corner you start in, but how can that be if the idea is to have the grains going in opposite directions? And if anyone is looking for tutorials, is is the best one I've seen so far. Those 2 and 3 minute ones are not teaching you anything--they're just advertising someone's website for patterns. I wish Mikey would do a follow up to this video!

Yay! Last year's Fiber Frolic was canceled, and this was one of the lessons, we were sad to miss it. But now I can do it, and share this video with my friend! Is there a way to make a long strip? You'd probably have to tie it off every row once you got a base square wide enough for, say, a scarf? Hmmm, which yarns to use...
@abbiehogg90610 жыл бұрын
I would also like to see the larger square version. Please
