Tunnel Landscape Changes.51

I have a go at improvements on one of my more difficult parts of the layout. Hopefully I pull it off to some degree. Watch this update and see what you reckon.
Items used in this update:
Woodland Scenic's Polyfibre,
Treemendous not labelled but described as Scatter dark Green, flowering spring yellow green as a high light colour.
A good artist spray lacquer or maybe a hair spray could work.
Seafoam pack of
PVA Glue neat
Vallejo Acrylic paints for weathering
German Grey
Leather Brown
a reasonable good battery Airbrush.

Hi Graham embankment looks better but remember Rome was not built in a day nor is a model railway layout. I think we all make improvements and as our skills improve so do our layouts. The sub was in a way kind of correct but,in 1930s when they extended the Piccadilly line from Hammersmith they made two tracks into 4 and the tunnel under Hammersmith Broadway had to be widened if you see the portal it’s right by where I live it was a bit like yours before you rebuilt it so there’s always a place somewhere we’re you did get it right mate,but,a lovely rebuild great work as always Take care Mark 😊😊

Great piece of surgery but I must say the original design looked quite good. I use pastel crayons, scrape powder from them then mix with baby powder do that it applies smoothly . I then fix it with a fixative spray. Nice job with the airbrush . Lots of variety going on your layout, this video must have taken some time to produce, edit etc That’s a great little diorama at tge tunnel. Hats off to you fir a great job and fir sharing. Hi Graham can I just say what a great layout you have got. It really sets the scene for the period you are modelling. Your attention to detail is superb. The work on the retaining wall is good the bloke who commented on it was right to a degree but there are loads of places where walls stop and rocks start. The tunnel leading to a village reminds me of clay cross in Derbyshire it looks ace. Thanks for the great videos keep them coming. So relaxing to watch. Cheers

Wow Graham. Those subtle enhancements make all the difference. The 33, the wagon and the wall section, show if you look hard enough, it can be done much cheaper, Add a bit of know how and it looks superb. Very enjoyable watch. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy a bit break.

The large over track gantries are kits made by Scale Model Scenery and the smaller line side supports are made by dapol. Thanks for watching atb Graham 😊

The battery powered Airbrush is great, but just keep the paint thin. Best used with acrylics really. Atb Graham 👍

Another item of scenery I have seen little of, are the air shafts on tunnels. Are they a peculiar item in the north of Britain? They seem to be designing them on the cloud dream of HS2. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be around when it finally hits Manchester let alone be fit to travel on it (2040?)

Yep, him and Everard Junction brought me back into the hobby. So gave me ideas and then things have evolved since. Like embankments more than retaining walls as you may see. I prefer natural scenery, hence calling the layout Wood Hill Park. Cheers Graham 👍
