Set and forget buddy. Mines never missed a beat and whilst it is fairly loud when in operation it only usually kicks in for a few seconds every couple of hours so no big deal. Well worth it for the peace of mind!

The two cables do matter and I believe you flipped it. I used your method and the motor was running without water coming out. Switched it and water started coming out. Great video regardless.

I agree with you on the noise. Although it's not for very long it did become annoying. If you take apart the controller with the two screws you can adjust the pump speed. Did this with mine and it does reduce the noise just takes a little longer to fill. 👍

I must be a bit mutton coz I could never hear mine when I was using it. Have you got it sitting on the bottom of that plastic tub? What about suspending it off the bottom slightly

Keep an eye on it. I got mine a month ago took about 2 weeks for the eye sensor kick the water on every time. kept coming home to low water levels.

When you turn it on after being off it runs the pump for a while which is probably why it kept going when you first turned it on. Mine has been reliable for ages, but recently the optical sensor occasionally doesn't activate, it's not dirty or anything like that so it's a bit odd..also watch the little grey bit that connects the pump to the hose..it always cracks..almost like it disintegrates I'm on my 4th

Cracking video. Love my Tunze ATO, never missus a beat, but like you say a little noisy when filling. Having to connect the wires is a little bizarre, but makes it easier to position the pumps and controller unit. Think you might need to slide the TV unit over, those new cables would do my head in. 😂 Cracking video, look forward to an update on the nano. Happy Halloween 🎃 👍

Great Video, I was tempted to buy this auto top off. After watching the review it's a no from me at this price the pump sound be silent. What's with the pump cables not being hard wired that looks like a fire hazard. Sorry to bash on the Tunze fan of there stuff in general but too many issues first went above the optical eye loud pump, and the controller looks old now compared to other ato out there.
