Songs that make me cry or bring a tear to my eye at last, thats goona be hard to make a list of this, i think if i keep it to Rock and metal songs, its a little easier.. 1. Deep Purple - When a blind man cries 2. Epica - Canvas of life 3. Avenged sevenfold - Fiction(death) 4. Nightwish - The poet and the pendulum 5. Dire straits - Brothers in arms 6. Guns and roses -Estranged 7. Scorpions . Belive in love 8. Evanescence . Imaginary 9. Queen . These are the days of my life 10. A lot of other..lol Ok this list is proberly far from where i would end up, if i spend hours making it, so its what i came up with in 5 min ok..

Yes, Chevaliers De Sangreal is other worldly! As a film score lover, and someone who only recently discovered Nightwish, his love of film music really comes through!

Tuomas really touches our deepest feelings always, so Nightwish music in all makes my eyes sometimes wet. Greets from Finland to your family too. I just got to be a grandpa of twins. this making of video was so perfect right after the realease of perfume of the timeless 😃 the 1st songs i can think of that never fail to make me cry: dust in the wind by kansas (how could anyone disagree), the boxer by simon & garfunkel, dreams by the cranberries, the phantom agony & design your universe by epica (these 2 are recent discoveries for me, a little less than a year), wintersun's 'land of snow and sorrow', 'time' and 'loneliness', and from tuomas and nightwish themselves there's a few: the poet and the pendulum, i CAN sometimes keep it together, but when the 'mother and father' part kicks in with that oboe and piano, tears start flowing like there's no tomorrow, especially during that famous performance from wembley 2015; swanheart, all of it, but the final vocalization of tarja along with emppu's guitar is like a perfect duet - i've always cut off any 'who's the best nightwish singer' nonsense saying 'marko!'، but actually i think emppu is the unmentioned hero in this regard at least: his melodic guitar is the one-more-voice the band always had; just like talented singers use their voices as instruments, emppu is able to use his instrument like a voice when needed - to me at least it sounds so. and of course let's not forget 'ad astra' (nightwish again), so powerful. and more from many artists, not just nw, these were just the first that came to mind by instinct... if anyone feels in the mood and doesn't know some of them, i recommend: but beware, you need to feel ready to cry - they might not have the same effect on others as on me, but if they do, don't complain 😂 i warned you! tuomas mentioned 'forever young', it's been years since i stopped listening to it because it impacted me as well, in a way i can't deal with. same story for evanescence's 'my immortal', dire straits' 'brothers in arms', and simon & garfunkel's 'the sound of silence': i used to love playing this last one on guitar, singing along as well (ehm...i'm the worst at singing), but couldn't listen to these in more than 10 years, just like alphaville's piece ❤ peace, love & joy ✨💫 P.S. hans zimmer has more than 1 piece that impacts me that way, but how could i forget to mention pachelbel's canon in d?! it's so unique the way something can make you feel utterly joyful & alive, and make you excruciatingly weep at the same time

I love Nightwish and I love this first song they released but I have to point out Tuomas view of the past is very romantic since we know from history that procreation and marriage had nothing to do with love for millenia and we also know that if you are a woman you certainly weren't the dream of your ancestors since they wanted male children.
