When you listen to Tupac talk, you find it hard to believe that he died at age 25. He always spoke like some one in his mid or late 40s. He was really intelligent, full of words of wisdom, a poet and without doubt a fearless person. I have never seen or heard of any prisoner who loved being in solitary confinement, but Tupac said if he goes to jail, he will ask to be put in solitary confinement so he could do push-ups and read books and come out from jail, refined. Keep Resting In Peace.

Tall Dark Handsome Yeah but that’s a placeholder isn’t it? He’s just trying to make sure the interviewer understands, and once he starts speaking after that, which is like a second after, he speaks purely and can be understood, compared to some famous people on interviews nowaday. Pac wasn’t afraid to voice his opinions and spoke from his heart, yet unlike most people it sounds intelligent and somewhat philosophical

He was just so ambitious and incredibly inspiring. As a young 20 something speaking on experience he's had that we expect an older man to have had is so incredible. And you can tell the pressure he had from the interviewer (white audiences) and simultaneously the pressure from black and spanish groups to have him be their representative and protection and vice versa was weighing on him but he expressed that perfectly. I just wish someone was around to uphold the ideals he created for our community that sadly went uncompleted.

Not ONCE this did this man say "uhmm" or "uhh" before his replies. NOT ONCE! You know how hard that is, especially under the lights & being recorded by cameras all around? His confidence and intelligence was far beyond what we could understand...

This interview sheds broad light on just why he was murdered. If his dream had been allowed to blossom inside this reality there would be an amazing change inside the inner city cultures. His story is an amazing saga. He rose to prominence inside an entertainment industry that seems to be used as a tool. It is designed to culture degradation among minorities. Entertainers are caricature artists whose lives are carefully scripted and shaped towards a certain persona. Unfortunately the youth emulate these false personas and fiction soon becomes a reality, ensuring decades of poverty and suffering for so many. Tupac understanding this was attempting to run the train off the tracks. What he doing was using the enemy’s tactics, firing their weapons from there line of defense. He truly was ahead of his time. The system he was fighting first tried to break him with the fear of bodily harm, then incarceration and he came out even stronger it would seem. I’m sure they didn’t end his life initially because he was also their cash cow. So when he proved to be unfazed by their dirty tricks he had to be erased. With claims of gang beefs and drug money his death was even used to smear out the legacy he was working to build. Most Americans had no clue just how much was lost when this happened. To them it was just another animal and his death, another symptom of a chaos driven lifestyle. I’m sure there were even a few who thought he got what he deserved. We forget that the entertainment industry is just that. It’s a form of employment that has its own set of responsibilities, restrictions and uniforms. Even though it’s employees enjoy a level of luxury most dream of they all suffer a curse of being at work 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Once they become heavily invested in these characters they depict they can not afford to be anything else. This man here didn’t ultimately loose himself as so many seem to do. For that he must’ve been one of the strongest souls ever to manifest out of the Supreme Light. I am thankful for his time amongst us!!!

Part of what you say is definitely true, but there is something glaring you're missing. And that is the fact that Hip- Hop itself was in its infancy as a mainstream genre of music. When Tupac came out of jail he went to Death Row, a record label that was known within the industry to have gang affiliations, mainly with the set known as the Bloods. Suge Knight was the head of Death Row, and he surrounded himself with an entourage of known gang members. Tupac was never a Gangster, but he had a deep understanding of the urban inner city street culture, and he was a genius recording artist who played up to his tough guy persona in order to sell records and maximise his earnings. None of it was fake, but definitely exaggerated. In order to live up to the image that he carefully curated over the years, Tupac would turn up at random house parties in the hood just to hang out with ordinary people and mingle with groupies, he would carry guns around his person at all times for protection, he often got into altercations with people and got into trouble with the police a number of times. He was wild. He never closed himself off to everyday people just because he was famous. But this also made him vulnerable in ways he couldn’t see at first. Tupac was a true artist who tried to live the life he spoke of in his records as authentically as he humanly could without violating his own code of conduct, not like these fake Beverly Hills Rappers nowadays. In jail he admitted as much, and said he was done with it, as it was causing nothing but chaos in his life. The problem in Hip Hop is, audiences want you to be the person you say you are on wax, and the image you portray has to be real. And some people don’t realise it’s just a strategy to sell records, that it’s just Fantasy, and they will pull your fucking card if they think you're a liar. That's where your street credibility comes from. And that's when the problems start, because as Tupac found out when he got shot the first time and went to jail, you will eventually run into real life criminals who will act friendly at first, because they want a piece of your action $$$, but when you don't play ball, things get real ugly. These are people who will intimidate, extort, frame you for crimes they committed and even go so low as to try and kill you to get what they want from you. When he went to jail, he was suffering with PTSD after getting shot, he was angry and didn't know who he could trust anymore. He came out of Jail on a warpath, and the aggression he had inside him took over, and this mind state was fatal for him. When he joined Death Row, Tupac was forced into playing that same "Tough guy, gangster" persona again while he was there, otherwise he would have been undermined at every turn and not have been taken seriously, by Suge and his crew. It was survival of the fittest mentality at Death Row, with violent beatings delivered to those artists, producers and technicians deemed soft or weak. So Tupac really did not want to be seen as a pushover. As well as that, Tupac felt a deep sense of loyalty to Suge Knight, who posted a $1m bail to get him out of jail. Tupac felt obligated to play along in this dangerous game, in the ruthless environment of the Death Row Record Label. But for the first time he also felt that he was around a group of people who had his back, so naturally he had theirs too. And as Death Row postured themselves as Gangsters, making money off of this 'Image' and becoming further and further embedded with the L.A gang culture, they had real life enemies in the streets such as the Southside Crips, a long time rival of the Mob Piru Blood gang Suge surrounded himself with. The Southside Crips were envious and jealous of their success and fame, and so wound up aligning themselves with New York's Bad Boy Record label, going so far as providing unofficial security for Sean Combs and Biggie Smalls when they came to L.A. Tupac suspected Sean Combs and Biggie had prior knowledge of his shooting before he went to jail, and felt they intentionally never warned him beforehand. One night after that fateful Mike Tyson fight, some of the Death Row entourage, including Tupac were walking through a Las Vegas hotel one of the Death Row entourage spotted a young man named Orlando Anderson, a Southside gang member. He whispered in Tupac's ear and Tupac took off running after him, and punched him. The other Death Row members then joined in, and rushed him, kicking and beating Anderson. What Tupac didn't know at the time was that the guy he punched, Orlando Anderson, was a known shooter for the the Southside Crips, and he was a suspect in multiple murder investigations. A Real Gangster, in other words. Anderson couldn't take the humiliation of being beaten so publicly, and so went looking for all of them. He found Tupac and the others near the Vegas strip, and shot Tupac, killing him six days later when he succumbed to his injuries. That's what really happened, and I know it sounds too simple but it’s the truth. His Murder was the first time a high profile rapper had been gunned down. There are rumours that Sean Combs put out a $1m contract on Suge and Tupac, but it can't be proven, so I'll leave that where it is, just hearsay. What I mean to say, is that Hip- Hop was still in its infancy and in its infancy, people within Hip- Hop couldn't (or wouldn't) separate real street life from the music, and so people like Suge Knight, who had an obsession with being feared, didn't realise that surrounding Death Row with known gang members was inevitably going to drag these gang rivalries into the realm of his record label as well. Maybe he did know, and just didn't care. But that’s ultimately what got Tupac killed. A tragic victim who got squeezed out between two warring gangs. He was loyal to a fault, getting in the middle of feuds he had no business being anywhere near, because of his very human need to belong and be loved, and it cost him his life... RIP to Tupac ❤

I've always felt that the world was a bigger fan of Tupac the person, than Tupac the rapper, and this video shows one of the reasons why. He's the one rapper where I could feel the weight of his emotions when he speaks and it's like you could almost physically touch and feel the conviction in his voice when he says something. Which is why I was so upset at the All Eyez On Me movie cause whenever Demetrius Shipp spoke, because I didn't hear the signature passion in his voice that Tupac had. Whenver 2pac speaks, you 100% could feel that he truly believes in what he's saying, the Demetrius Shipp on the other hand just sounded like a guy reciting lines with a raspy voice.
