My stock 700 scares the crap outta me let alone having to deal with it being turbine powered! Another plug for the Demon control, I’d be a bunch richer today if that was around in the 80’s but I might not have been able to afford it then either! Good tail rotor gyros were expensive enough! Great piece of design and machinery.

G'day mate. Yes I agree with you. These RC choppers can be a little scary at times. I've been flying choppers since the late 90's and they still get my heart racing. Unfortunately I don't own a turbine, but I've got 3 x gas (90 size) and 1 electric 550. Cheers, Aaron.

Hi, they are header tanks. They feed the turbine directly and the main tank keeps the header tanks constantly full to the brim. This stops air from entering the fuel system and helps to eliminate a “flame out”. Cheers 🍻

@DCT_Aaron_Engineering
@DCT_Aaron_Engineering 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Luke. Yes mate the conversion was done by Ivor. Ivor is a fitter and turner who used to work for TAA or Ansett back in the day. The Wren 44 pretty much bolts in to where the 90 motor would have gone, but he got those base plates and cradle parts cnc machined from a mate. Some nice parts on it. Yeah, very nimble and rock solid in the air. This was filmed last Sunday when it was real gusty. I think XM2 and Crudd need a turbine ;-)
