Sounds brilliant, 0-100 is basically tractor grade but how it handles hills and loads is what counts, and does it awesomely. Perhaps better than a 1KD-FTV Hilux. What a train.

I prefer the 3L with ifs on bad roads where you can't speed and drive for hours. On the high the way it's a different story though. It's the feel.
@jetstream454 Жыл бұрын
@@Harro4870 I feel like the 1KD would handle higher boost/fuel and have anlinger lifespan than a 2H putting out similar numbers (talking modified both engines), the IDI heads in the 2H weren't made for big power/boost. But in stock or slightly boosted form they're overall a tougher engine by design.

Does 2H engine have oilers below the pistons? Is adding Turbo safe for the 2H engine?

Yeah mate just can’t run too much boost on ya turbo, I’ve got a denco turbo on my 2h 75 and I’m runn8ng around 15 psi she loves it. Doesn’t get hot and just boogies 💪

What would i need to do to my 89 HJ60 2H to get this? What modifications did you do
@troopy0012 жыл бұрын
I didn't do any modifications to the engine. All just bolt on parts. The engine was still going strong when I took the car off the road due to rust. Towed my caravan all over the place at 100 kph. Use an exhaust gas temp gauge and tune the fuel pump to the egts. I think 450 degrees is reasonable

I wound the fuel back a bit to reduce the smoke and increase fuel consumption. Getting around 15L per hundred km. That's towing the caravan as well. If I need to get somewhere quicker I wind the fuel up again. Happy travels.

have you taken your blow off valve off the engine
@phantomvir7 жыл бұрын
Blow off valves do not work on Diesel engines as diesel engines throttle fuel not air therefore there is no butterfly in the intake manifold like on petrol cars for the charge air to slam against when the throttle is closed.

Can any turbo make that noise?
@shoopthewhoop1257 жыл бұрын
Im pretty sure it has to be externally gated and a straight thru pipe
@patrickscodellaro20477 жыл бұрын
ok thanks
@benisaac53597 жыл бұрын
Doesn't need to be externally gated. It is called rapid turbine deceleration - it comes from the turbine. Certain turbos do it from factory. The design of the exhaust system plays a part in it. I am currently developing a product that will bring out this noise in any turbo diesel car so stay tuned.
