This is probably the best sounding 2 Valve Crown Vic with "stock internal engine parts" I've ever heard. Man this brought back so many memories... Again. My first car was an '87 RX-7 Turbo II 5-Speed, (this was back in 1996). Back then, pretty much the only available boost controller was an HKS unit for around $1,000. I couldn't afford one so I blew the original engine, and a second brand new engine shortly after it was installed. lol Fun, fun, fun. -Chuck

It reminds me of how back in the old days guys like me who had to start out with cars like the Galaxie 500, or a light body Fury or Belvedere, could build engines that would whoop up on the bought as is boy toys that you didn't have to put a lot of money, sweat and soul into in order to go just as fast as the off the shelf muscle people would just buy. It just came natural to me because that's what poor boys would do. If you had the money anybody could be a muscle car owner but if you didn't you had to do what you learned from old boys that learned it from others. To me that is what muscle cars and hot rodding was suppose to be like.

Impressive with that weight against the Mach One. Makes me nervous to see a turbo that low to the ground on a street car without a filter. That thing is like a vacuum cleaner. As for stock internals, engines will do alright if properly tuned and keeping the boost down. I have an old Foxbody I put a 62MM turbo on back in 2006; stock 150,000 mile motor. It lasted until 2012 before it wouldn’t hold oil pressure at idle. It made 444.6 HP and 537.8 lb/ft to the wheels on 10 pounds of boost for six fun years. Those were with shitty, E7TE heads. Turbos are awesome.

@@BoostandBadHabits had it on a dyno or is that simply a guesstimate based on how you do against other cars with that power? It just seems like its making a gang of turbo noises and not moving all that quick. Smaller turbo also? Not trying to talk shit. Props for all the work and I bet its 100 times quicker then any stock crown vic. I just expected it to move quicker with all that turbo noise. I also know video doesn't always do speed/quickness justice. Thanks for not being offended by my comment and responding with info instead of just hurt feelings. I will change my comment to not seem so cunty...
@BoostandBadHabits4 жыл бұрын
@@RawGolfChannel strictly a guesstimate based on boost and other turbo 2v power numbers. Never seen a dyno. Car was also around 4500lbs with us so definitely could be faster lol. Probably a mid 12 second car the way it sits, but it was built to be more of a drift car than anything. We'll take it to the track and find out what it runs soon once everything opens back up.
