Two suggestions that I didn't see in the video. 1. After blowing out the area, I took off the first coil and found dirt around the spark plug. I had to use my compressor and blow out the spark plug area before removing it. 2. Use some duct tape to keep your spark plug socket attached to your extension. My socket was stuck on the spark plug and had fun getting it off.

Hey my friend thanks for the suggestions. I'm pretty sure I mentioned to make sure that the hole is clean before you pull the spark plugs out. Unfortunately most times on the majority of engines you'll end up with dirt around the spark plug. Of course just make sure it's nice and clean before you install your new one. As for the duct tape I guess you could use that if you didn't have a spark plug socket but I don't recommend it. It's always best to use a spark plug so I can that's designated to hold the spark plug that way it doesn't fall out. Or use a tube instead of duct tape because you don't want pieces of duct tape stuck to your smart plug.

Have the same model but my original OEM plugs was Denso ZXU22HCR8 not the ZXU20HCR8. Any idea what the difference are between the 2 plugs?

Hey Mike. What the difference is in these two plugs is the heat range. Basically the lower the number the hotter the plug. So the plug that is a 20 is hotter than the 22. Essentially if you are driving your car harder you want to go with the colder plugs so that it can dissipate heat from the spark plug more efficiently. If both of them are recommended for your car of course then you can choose between the two depending on your driving habits. I hope that helps you.

Great video, but do yourselves a favor, and look up the torque specs. If you strip the plug holes you'll be making your mechanic's next boat payment, and more!

Very helpful video but you never mentioned the gap. Very hard info to find. Am told the plugs are pre-gapped but I would like to confirm what the gap should be? Thanks

If you get the dealer plugs they are pre gapped and should not be adjusted because most likely you will end up breaking the electrode tip which will destroy your plug. That's specifically why I did not mention the Gap. The specific gap for a 2 Liter turbo is 0.7 to 0.8 mm 0.028 to 0.031 inch, good luck 👍

Did you clean the air box out? Lol. Im sure you did, Im just curious. Thanks for the video. Edit: I ask because I found a large nest on top of my cabin filter. Pretty impressive that they make their way into those places.

I definitely did clean out the air box. They are quite persistent rodents. Thank you for watching :-)
