No probs dude, appreciate you checking it out! I wouldn't say its COMPLICATED, more... Fiddly at times. To get to the filter is real easy, a couple small bolts and the lid comes off

Great video mate. Have a look at a GFB T9362. Much like the Forge dump valve but smaller, cheaper and still recirculating back into the intake. Will compliment your Ktec intake and improve your dump sound and improve your boost once you remap it

The wooshes were REAL quiet, basically silent on the end clips dude so i just used them as outro clips. I have been eyeing up the pro alloy as far as cooling goes, and that'll probably be the mod i do last/closest to the remap itself

Good video man, very informative! Especially for people like myself who would struggle haha! I was looking at the ktec filter for the Clio 220 until you said they were all way too whooshy at the end. Did you have an itg one on yours? I'm guessing different manufacturers are gonna sound different or are they all much of the same do you reckon?

Cheers dude! Noise wise, sure certain filters will sound different but there are also other factors like how much boost you're running etc will affect the noise... The clio was very loud on an open cone but a gfb sorted that right out, this is loud enough to hear on the meg but not intrusive. I personally haven heard a clio on an ITG so I can't comment

@@VersionOneUK My 220 trophy on the ITG makes a lovely sound but i'll have to remove it cause the drone is unbearable. Is this something specific with turbo engines? I had performance intakes on the NA cars i had before and they never droned, only sounded awesome when getting up there in the revs.

How does the intake temp differ with this compared to stock box? I am in between this and the RS Performance/ITG filter

Not even noticeable mate realistically... The box and use of both original cold feeds will help keep hear soak down but as always with these kind of mods its the final numbers i'm focusing on, so once i have the upgraded front mount and exhaust to go alongside this temps should be negligible and more air in etc should help me get some decent gains overall, especially up top

The car isn't noticeably any slower mate, and like i said in the video, the mods are for the map in the long run. The open filter will help gains through the rev range especially up top

As a mod on their own its probably negligable mate, maybe pick up some mid range... But on a map, obviously will help. More fuel + air = power (in most scenarios)

Nice video, but this mod will just modify sound not the performance (it could be worst because the air will go everywhere) you need to improve the case of this filter

Cheers man! I think ktec will have thought of that, and tested it before selling to general public mate tbh, being renault specialists for over 20 years. As for performance it won't make performance as it is now currently but when mapping the car it will, as we'll need more air + fuel to make gains. The car still pulls just as hard and feels absolutely no slower than it did with the box. I think people seem to forget that a standard airbox only receives air from its 2 cold feeds, nowhere else, which when you're looking for power, especially in the mid range + spool, the car will be looking for more air as timing adjustments are made, and its just not going to find it in a restricted box.
