Would it help to provide instructions as to what to do with the data that is heart rate for those who do not have or want power and for those who do have power data? Thanks very much for this vid.
@Fastfitnesstips7 жыл бұрын
For a quick heads up on pacing with HR do the following: ride at tempo heart rate (z3) for first 50% (10mins) of session; then ride at threshold heart rate (z4) for 40% (8mins). In the last 10% (2mins) give it everything (z5). Gradually, more accomplished riders will increase their time in z4 and z5 and reduce z3.

Apologies perhaps I was not clear with the intent of my querie. I have an inexpensive by, today's standards, HR unit. It will record my HR for the duration at specific time intervals, e.g. 10 seconds. Great. Any ideas as to what I do with this data and how it may be applied for increased future performance? Many thanks.
@Fastfitnesstips7 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about this 20min effort then HR intervals are not needed. Ride one 20min 'best effort' without looking at heart rate. After this' best effort' you will have your HR max. Use this to calculate your HR zones (see www.fitdigits.com/personalized-heart-rate-zones.html). Then follow my previous advice. PS. HR based intervals usually don't work too well because HR has a lag behind effort. Does that help?

nice Video, but at the end, you should time the clock to show "0" when they actually arrive to the finish line and not 10 secs after....

+Fastfitnesstips : don't worry, on all videos with music, you'll see this stupid comment. The purpose ? Not to say his point of view, but to have the "glory" of having many thumbs-up. The 1% of grinders / searching sth to say will do the rest.
@chrissmyth89217 жыл бұрын
Yeah don't dignify those dipstick comments with a reply. Just delete them. Every video with music has the same comment by some automaton that doesn't understand that different people like different music. Music was fine, it's the beat that's the important bit for going hard.
@anon52527 жыл бұрын
I agree. I don't mind that beat for a couple of minutes during the warm-up. But on a loop for 20 minutes? Surely, you must have some more music you can put on? The video footage was good. Can you do a Lance Armstrong montage of him absolutely busting it?
@Fastfitnesstips7 жыл бұрын
Its hard to satisfy everyone on the music front.....the best bet is to use the "no music" option (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5azkoScpJKCpas) and play your own music playlist or use our spotify workout playlist (open.spotify.com/user/21ndonrygegtjj7nn4lsfecoi/playlist/1K9d72wf7onqHo92UTkfHe)
