Im in the US and working on a turbo charged matrix with the 1zzfe (essentially a corolla hatch). I have put in the 6 speed trans from the lotus elise, and found a motor with less than 30k miles. I will be doing the same thing, a modest build to make a dailyable vehicle that will last me years to come. This builder took a page straight out of my own heart!!

4:39 I agree of the throttle body but soft clutch and smooth gear shifting are key points of the corolla decades. Maybe it not fits according to your likings.

100%. It's very jumpy if you don't slowly roll out of throttle before very delicate clutch movement (and perfect timing)

You're wrong, TOYOTA COROLLA T SPORT 2006 supercharged from factory. So its not a surprise if yoh felt like the turbo feels like stock to the cars.

@@perezwailyn778 anyone who turbo's or supercharged their xrs, magically stops making videos shortly after. Something to keep in mind. If it was me. Enjoy the power ban where it is and do the bullet proofing mods like the oil pan and lift bolts. And do very regular oil changes(every 2000 miles) if you're constantly in lift. Let's face it; your not going to win against today's Toyota minivan.

@@tf7274 yeah I thought about that I was going to stage 2 the engine and rebuilt the transmission before putting the turbo and do the oil pan if you change it for the Corolla le oil pan it’s better already and I’m taking the car to a professional custom shop! So I’m assuming if it’s done properly it’ll last with good maintenance

@@perezwailyn778 I'm not an expert. You've done more than I ever did. Just did a lot of research years ago. My understanding is that motors that do well with after a turbo install, are engines that aren't max'd out already being N/A monsters. Better off to turbo an engine that has good history of turbo's. The whole point of an xrs is high revs. After turbo you may be limited to lower rpms.

Yes, it will consume more fuel, and turbo charging necessitates the use of premium fuel. So more of a higher quality fuel.
