Stock Block 302…. How much horsepower can be made? How fast can it go? Joey, currently holds the fastest nitrous pass that we know of, 5.11 at 133mph. Now he wants to try to get the boosted record! This is all new combination, making the first dyno pulls! Let’s see how it goes.
If you need dyno time in the Raleigh area, hit Josh Kinzey up at UnderGround garage.

Stock block 302’s will live longer with over 500whp with a turbo set up! Unlike a supercharger set up. Supercharger set ups pull on the crank causing vibrations all day long making easier for the blocks to crack…seen and read about a couple turbo set ups living at 700whp reliably on stock block 302’s

Nice combo..have a TTrim on my stock block with a stud girdle, track heat heads, stock rods, pistons, and cam making almost 500 to the wheels on 10lbs of boost. 10lbs with 4" discharge into 70 to 90mm accufab race throttlebody on pump gas. One day ill convert to e85 or race gas and see what it will do, but its been a 13yr reliable combo, so don't want to kill it, but will probably sell it, and start new with a notch and dart block, etc...

I personally have built a couple handfulls of late model 302s that are still living on 1k turbo and supercharged its alot of work poor the block halfway and cut the mains for a 4 bolt main even though the cap webbing in block dont have much its the caps bouncing that kills them i have never seen a 302 that is cracked without very bad galling under 234 mains wit 2 bolt i have taken apelart multiple builds for refresh on my 4 bolt conversions with no evidence of caps bouncing all it takes is a real tight tune

Ford designed the low deck Windsor to be light enough for a Falcon and began at 221 cid (the tall deck had more beef). which is why many 289/302's don't want to bore over more than .040 inches. but some "casting mistake" blocks will go .060 over. also, the original firing order set the front cylinders off at the same time, so if you use an older grind of camshaft, plus the different crankshaft weight found in the fuel injected Fox 302's, and then crank down a blower belt on that front crank snout...

Not to be bashing the Ford platform, but I had a 02 Camaro w/a 403" LS2, and it was making 567hp at the tires, more than my dad's solid roller BBC! Just a mild, hydraulic roller nitrous camshaft, decent heads... nothing special, no fill, aluminum block that's 100lbs lighter than its twin iron block! My new turbo setup, which is a iron 408, Dart Pro1 225's, best valve trane you can get, with a FIS 91/102 turbo. Should make some steam for a streetcar with a/c still! I was steered away from doing a half fill, so I could get more strength, but still run water through the block... 570 is nothing to be ashamed of though, what's the car run..? My 02 went 10.30's on motor, 8.50's on a non-progressed 200 shot! It still made flatline power at 7500rpm, which is where we stopped w/stock lifters! I'm sure your car is about 7-800lbs lighter too!lol

Which works best still comes down to combination, something most never got right even back in the late 90s early 2000s. For instance, GT40 lower and a box upper intake and everything else stock or the biggest mistakes many made, seeing guys through on a 75mm TB with no other engine modifications and couldn’t figure out why the car went slower.

Last one was 615 i think, RPM heads do not flow all that good (if stock ports) so at the wheels its not that bad but it will make more loaded longer like on the track

Last one was 715hp, and they will make 800hp once they clean it up more, or very close to it.

Dyno numbers don't matter. It made over 700 rwhp later in video. It traps alot of mph and likely makes alot more power this is why dyno numbers don't matter.

@Jojo-ix8tg dyno numbers don't matter and how should it be 1000 easy? Because coyotes do that with modern tech and dohc and alot more rpm? It traps at the track as if it makes far more that is what matters not dyno numbers.
