I'd be clapping too! They say turbulence is nothing, but it scares the heck out of me. I once flew across the US to Los Angeles at night and when we reached the eastern LA basin there were strong Santa Ana winds. The pilot flew the plane very low--it looked like we were just over the rooftops, and the plane bounced around all over the place---even looking out the windows things were blurred. The flight over the LA area seemed to take longer than the rest of the flight did--from Washington D.C. to there. We were cheering when it landed at LAX. Bravo to the pilots

I experienced one hour of severe turbulence holding pattern Denver Colorado. Lightning striking the plane, people praying and I swearing. This flight is a little rough but could be a lot worse and a lot longer in duration. The flight did not lose much attitude.

For some reason, I love it when there is turbulence when flying. I guess nearly the whole journey, the plane is on autopilot doing nothing so it’s boring but when the plane starts moving, it’s more enjoyable. It’s insanely amazing how the pilot managed to land the plane in the storm.

You should just fly through the clouds through the journey instead of avoiding them especially the CB clouds. You can enjoy as much turbulence you can. I would rather enjoy the smooth ride especially during meal times.

@@Wunaladreaming744ER Oh of course during mealtimes but maybe this was a long haul flight 4hr+ for example and for at least 2 hours or more you were going to be just be perhaps reading a book or magazine or smth, I’d like some turbulence then so the exhilaration of “hold on tight here we go!” kinda thing if you get what I mean. And yeah in clouds even better, sometimes it’s a bit boring seeing the clouds so far below you.

on my flight we jumped, we trembled, the plane turned around in the air, a lady almost vomited, people screamed, and I with half a heart attack on top, people prayed and when we arrived in Orlando there was a storm and the Pilot took off again and everyone was assailed I was like praying like every 5 seconds and when we finally landed we waited like 20 minutes since we had landed in the wrong terminal and they had bringing some stairs down that was horrible

I remember following through the last time i experienced turbulence. Honestly the shit was all over the place. Felt so embarrassed an frightened. Me bowels just gave in to the fear. It was a horrible, horrible time! The smell was horrible an the surrounding passengers just gazed across at me because they knew the foul smell came from my vicinity.

Yes; we should always be thankful to god if the plane lands safely. There have been more accidents already than some people can count to so it’s actually NOT a matter of course at all that it lands safely because many airlines try to safe money by failing to invest in sufficient saftey measures

@@rylanpeters8140 much easier to survive a car crash if something goes wrong, than to survive a plane crash if something goes wrong. You’re also in control when you are driving a car. In a plane you are at the mercy of the pilot and his ability to respond appropriately to any challenges at 30,000 ft. In a car, if going through a bad storm you can pull over and feel safe from it. In a plane, you cannot stop, you have to endure the storm and turbulence shaking the plane.

It's important to rely on facts and probabilities rather than fear based on misconceptions about flying. Also just because you pull over doesn't make u safe. Also us pilots can see those storms and we have people planning around them for most airlines. That is that we all know about the rates of car deaths vs planes u guys seem to think because your in control and on the ground its safer but its just not true. The 1 in 114 for driver vs 1 in 9,821. I included general if I didn't it would be 1 in 11 mil.
