The name Morgan Lefley is an obvious reference to Morgan le Fey, the sorceress from the stories of King Arthur. I'm not totally sure, but the Marquis de Singe may be based on the Marquis de Sade, the man on which the word sadism is based on. It seems to me that a guy who straps someone down to remove a body part against his (and who is very excited to do that) may have a little bit in common with the real life Marquis.

I suspected the same about Morgan! The Marquis I didn’t get but you’re probably right given what we’ve seen of him!
