The Alan Turing Institute was founded with the clear and compelling purpose “to make great leaps in the development and use of data science and artificial intelligence in order to change the world for the better”.
When the history of the early 21st Century is written, it is inevitable that we will see data, informatics and AI as having had a deeply transformative impact on global society. Seven years on from the Turing’s launch, we have devised a vision for how we want to shape this transformation: Turing 2.0. When people think of these technologies, we want them to think of the positive difference it has made to the lives of millions.
Join the people leading the Turing into this future as they discuss the strategy for getting there and how we plan to make wide-reaching impact through the ethical development and deployment of these technologies.
Speakers:
Adrian Smith (Institute Director and Chief Executive, The Alan Turing Institute)
Doug Gurr (Director, Natural History Museum London and Chairman, The Alan Turing Institute)
Anjana Ahuja (Science Writer and Columnist, Freelance & Financial Times)
