This game is so nutty. As a non-RTS'er getting into the genre I'm overwhelmed but loving it. There's so much to sink your teeth into here. The Sardaukar are some of my favorite super soldiers in fiction, the books and movies got me to check this out. Glad I bought it on sale on steam, seems like such a steal.

Man, I haven't even played Spice Wars as I'm saving up for a new gaming desktop, but Corrino is by far my favorite faction in Dune. Not even because they're so powerful in the game, it's just I remember loving the Sardaukar from what little I saw of them in the David Lynch movie when I was a kid and have never gotten enough of Dune ever since

I like how the Emperor is represented in game. It's so lore friendly. Trust me. You can beat Corrino if you can rush them before their full might is brought to Arrakis. I've lost several games from early pressure. It depends on the skill of the players.

I feel bad saying that Corrino is my favourite faction in this game given they are on a whole completely different level. But, I always find that early military corrino is best and the most fun

In your main base with all the red buildings in it, you want to have the emperor's monument there. That way it doubles your armor and hp buffs. Corrino late game army is insane, haha

Finally got the game... learning the way it works. Won an easy one, and that's about it for now. I'll get better and better as I progress. My computer is a brick though so I don't think I can multiplay too way.

The good: Some of the better Corrino play I've seen and someone finally showed the power of incinerators and actually activating Aramsham. He's great. The bad: I didn't like the constant over praise of the faction as if the devs ever watch its my experience they always over correct late game factions instead of buffing the weaker the armies. Things that won't be mentioned is that NO ONE confronted you until it was too late. After you had everything researched, special buildings built, and 30% chaom. Which all is all is the to answer your question, what don't the corrino do well? They don't do early game at all. Just my thoughts and something I hope everyone keeps in mind. I keep Atreides and Corrino are OP, but that's only because they get ignored all game. It says something that they've never won one of your tourneys.

You can decap some territories from people, but that's about all the earlygame agression you are going to get, it's very hard to actually bully someone to a point that they can't compete anymore (which is probably, by design because making somebody just so miserable that they are useless entire game long would feel pretty bad), atreides will also almost always jessica truce you before you can get any real dmg in to them, which you can only really ignore if you're playing fremen. In my experience orbital strike is overtuned (saying this as having been both the user and the target), when you compare it to like hark's equivalent tier 2 damage operation the difference is kindof insane.

@studentt6064 there's some fair points. But it is possible to hold down someone to 1 or 2 regions the whole game. Or at least long enough to make them irrelevant. Kenri has done this a few times to corrino. As far as the operations, id have to look at harks, dont know the price comparison offhand, but at the end of the day you can only OS one region. You can fake one way and attack another to burn it.

Well sure but there's a difference between being left alone and having to bully them to a couple of regions like you said. bullying also means that both you and corr are investing resources in that, and bullying to that extent means that the rest of the lobby will just greed and win of of that.

Most peopel are just soy. My friend played ffa yesterday. Freman agressivly grabed land and started to gain hedge. Corino was bordering them while harks just sat across the map. Corino despite falling behind lie 5k hedge NEVER did anything. Harkonens just sat there buying 30% hedge rofl. Only my friend as ecaz actually tried to stop freaman but failed. People just want to sit and build toyhouses without fighting and controlling enemy eco.

Holy... 3 spices and 3 rares all defend by fat deep deserts. This map gen gave you a free choam victory. Edit: 4 uncontested spice flieds, one of which is the 25% one... just free game.

Shocked to see the order you built your main base in. You could have had a +60 solari econ district (or 20% district) so much earlier. You literally delayed both bonuses as long as possible, lol Fun watch though, and nice pivot from choam to hegemony

If you are going Saudukar army then you only want 3 of each conscripts to maximize their bonuses. Edit: also max incinerator should be 2 to maximize the number of Chad's in your army

So a question: if faction is on the other side of the map like artredes how can he defeat the other faction on the otherside? I can understand Atreides could peaceful annex a far village and build a airpot but how a non-Atreides could engage a far positioned enemy?

You have a second base with corrino you can spawn it wherever you want on the map be strategic with where you spawn it ;) Really strong. If well put it can protect 1 or more cities with its missiles

Get some water, or just spam the supply drop mission. Supply drop in particular can get you fighting a long time in a province even without having lots of water.
