Back in the early 90s the labels was owned or ran by people of the culture you couldn't get signed unless you were lyrically talented, after Russell sold his label, roccafella split, Murder INC, Suave house, and Rap a-lot records didn't exist no more it seemed like people outside of the culture came in and only pushed one type of rap style, unless the Og's can get back control of the industry I don't see it getting better because the youngsters seem to listen to who pays them.
